Order list

The bolts are pretty cheap now, provided those in the list commit to ordering theirs.

Please commit to your orders with a down payment to my email address indicated in the spreadsheet, and by providing your email and shipping addresses. Either put your information, including your nickname, in the PayPal message, or send me an email.

I am far from having all the contact information and down payments for those in the list. If you are no longer interested, remove yourself from the list so that we can figure out the correct price for those that remain interested.

And don't forget to order your 6703-2RS bearings to see if they fit in the recess.

Just sent you the down payment.  Thank you for taking the Lead JJJ.

I can confirm that the 29x2.6 would not work because it rubbed like crazy.  In fact, when I first attempted and spin the wheel on the bike stand. The tire took a layer of the pain off due to the rubbing friction.

Clearance is tight with a 2.4 that actually measures 2.4 (61mm) and the last time I measured it there is only a 66mm opening where the 29" tire treads are.  I am also in a rocky/rooty area but the 2.4 is fine.  You might get more space with the 27.5 as it opens up a bit more.

27.5x2.6 is probably going to be about an inch smaller than a 29x2.4, going to drop the BB by 10-15mm maybe?  You can try offset bushings to counter that.  I don't know that 5mm tire width and a little volume is worth it unless you're already set on MX.

With 29x2.6F, 29x2.4R, and 165mm cranks I only had two pedal strikes and one crank strike today!  MX would make the bike nearly unusable for me, ymmv.

I can confirm that the Cane Creek spacer + 6mm with the Fox 36 Grip2 (latest version) and the Cane Creek 110 Hellbender headset lower bearing, on a size L frame it's ok: 2mm of clearance, perfect for those who want to minimize the change from the original angles

Jal,  would you mind provide us with the URL link for the components?  I brought the wrong one. Didn't work.  Just trying to save additional hassle. Thanks.

Things are slowly progressing. Tested the dropper än it fits perfect, no problems there.

Would you mind to share with us what you used for the chainstay protector?  looks like a sticky back type.  Thanks.

Gentlemen,

Anyone completed the build with the crown spacer to prevent the front fork from hitting the downtube?  I'm quite confused on what we should use;  +0.5° crown spacer?  My fork hit the downtube (Frame Size S).  The rated head tube angle is 65.5° -  This would make 65° with the crown spacer?  I assumed the headset uses 45 degree bearing race.

Thank you for your input & sharing with us.

posted this in my own build tread but didnt any responses. hopefully i can get some opinions here.

put the decal on one side of the bike but im a bit iffy on how it looks. im thinking of replacing it with this metallic vinyl. what do you guys think? new vinyl or keep what i have on there

Liked the Decal.  Perhaps one more short word or make the "Monsuta" a bit wider to cover the frame.

As per your installation of the chainstay protector - did you have to fight it, in order to get it in?  It appeared I ordered a wrong one (Heckler 8C instead of the SC tallboy?)  -  really difficult for me to squeeze it in.   :o

Gentlemen,

Do we need any disc brake adapter for this frame?  I believe it is rated for 180mm disc.  As such, is the brake adapter required?  Thank you for your confirmation advance.

For example:  https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002284268224.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.21c12b80IzDeqZ&algo_pvid=5835006c-dce4-43c1-a71f-1dc7723c2d37&algo_exp_id=5835006c-dce4-43c1-a71f-1dc7723c2d37-0&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22sku_id%22%3A%2212000019910969372%22%7D

I'm intended to mount the Shimano M8120 brake to the frame.

Would anyone who completed the bike can share with me the image of your brake setup?  Thank you for sharing the info with me.

Bsam.

I also got the nomad 5 chainstay protector since they didn't have the hightower one in stock. It actually fits pretty well. The last bit just doesn't go completely around the chainstay but you can't really see that unless you look under the frame and it's still very tightly attached to the bike. I wonder if the actual hightower part might actually fit better still.

Hello Snacks,

I had a hard time to squeeze the chainstay protector in there. I was just wondering if you had any trick to make it going in easier.

Thank you.

Let all the air pressure out and rotate the lower shaft until it's in the correct position. Just got twisted at some point and will turn back and might not need the air let out but should be easier without the pressure.

Followed your advise.  Worked like a champ.   ;).  Thank you FlaMtnBkr

You can simply rotate the airshaft 90degres.
In a vice, or if you're careful, a Allen key/bar/socket through each eyelet and turn

Thank you for your advice Jonnybearback.

Gentlemen,

I recently purchased this rear shock in preparation for the build.  I made sure it is 210x55mm rear shock.  However, I wasn't pay attention to the way the eyelids are.  They are not facing the same direction.  Is that mean i'm out of luck with this rear shock?  Is there a way it can be converted from 90 degree facing to same direction facing?

I'm appreciated for your advice in advance.

Best regards,

Bsam.

After being out of town, waiting for parts, and finding the time. I was finally able to finish the build up today. Hopefully I can get it in some dirt soon.

It looks really nice Geekbox32.  Congrat.
