Hi, has anyone found a way to quieten the rear cable routing hole through the rear triangle? I used foam for the front triangle so no rattling there, but on trails I can definitely hear the rear cables rattling around in the rear triangle since there are no rubber boots at the cable routing entry.

Modified the megatower rear 3d printed mudguard to fit the frame. attached is the file for those still looking for a solution. Used zipties to tie it all together

I fully agree eddy should have halted the shipping out of the new frames once this issue has been known. Charging us for a fix is simply outrageous. I would understand if we would have to pay to ship, and the fix is provided free of charge. Charging 220usd for the fix is honestly disappointing, noting that he mentioned the frame has been fixed, and we need not worry, 1 month later a "real fix" is issued, but we need to pay for it ....

Just messaged eddy regarding the fix of the rear triangle here are the replies, lowkey disappointed, would have rather waited till a proper fix was arranged, before my frame (with the flaw) was shipped, which was last week tuesday.

I am buying a dvo topaz t3 from a guy who took it off his ibis, just fully serviced as well. Accessing the pump valve doesn't really bother me as I like to adjust the shock once and leave it as is haha..

Any1 knows if a dvo topaz t3 will fit the frame? I know the santa cruz suspension design has quite tight tolerances due to the low shock mounting system

me too man, just pulled the trigger and ordered the frame. Hope all goes well haha.

One question for those who completed their builds already.. what crankset and chainring options did you guys go for? I read earlier in the thread that there is very little tolerance for the chainring before it rubs the frame, do we need to go for boost cranksets or do you think the regular cranksets will work? What chainline do you recommend going for shimano cranks

Any more finished build owners can give some feedback and reviews of how the bike rides? Really on the edge of making an order with Eddy, just need that final push that everything will be fine, after seeing all the issues with the frame that was raised through this thread

I see, thanks for the video, really concerning especially it being a china frame. Do update us if you are able to do any other things that may try and fix and stop the flexing.

Hope to hear what eddy says when he replies Maffly. Do keep us updated thanks again.

Hi, I am looking to make an order for the frame soon, but hearing as quite a few people who completed building up the bike has mentioned that the rear triangle has some lateral play to it. I am trying to understand what you guys mean by this as it is honestly quite concerning how this can happen.

Maybe someone who has this issue with their built bike can maybe post a video showing what they mean? And maybe what they did to solve this issue. That will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
