Hello,
I built up this bike back in like February or March. It has been super sweet, but the threaded insert for the bolt on the main pivot bushing pulled out of the frame. I looked at it and I seen that there is now a crack

I reached out to airwolf I will see if they get me a new front triangle.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply, but too late haha the bike is already built. For the front of the shock I used FOX Mounting Hardware - 9 Piece, AL, 6mm x 20.83/0.820 and for the rear I used the flip hip as mentioned I think on page two of this thread. Anyway, I did the specialized bearings as well. 210x55 fox shock.

So, I've had the had the Stumpies clone for a good few months and generally love it. Had some issue with bolts as above but only that the front bolt for the damper didn't screw in fully and as told to 7se some force by AWST... Bolt broken and I bought a new suitable bolt.

However, i have ruined the paint on the frame through stupidity and transport so want to repaint. Was thinking tradiotnal Stumpie silk matt anthracite with red, but any other suggestions? I don't want a "bright" frame so main colour should be black/grey... Looking for inspiration....

What did you use for rear shock bushings?

Hi, I am thinking in build my first chinese bike and I like this frame (I need a XL size).
Any update of the users? I need a final push...
Thanks.

I have one in an XL size and have had it for a year. I am very happy with it. Mine is non-boost spacing and has a QR axle. I have had zero issues with it and it is definitely an upgrade from the aluminum frame it replaced.Lighter, stiffer, and overall just a better ride. If you want to build one, you totally should.

Hello glorious friends my name is TheRealCFiddy and im here to chat about my upcoming build. The stumpjumper frame (link provided at the end of this post for clarification) has almost arrived here at southwest colorado, home of the 1990 world mountain bike championship or some shit like that.

Anywho, I built up a full rigid chinese carbon bike last year and it was great. Now im venturing into the full suspension world with the stumpjumper frame. But my entire 10 year mountain biking tenure has been on a rigid bike so im beginning to feel a little bit overwhelmed specifically on the rear suspension, and the additional hardware versus a rigid frame.

I ordered a 210x55 rear shock, for what thats worth.

The stumpjumper thread on here, not gonna lie, is just so long its difficult to keep up with all of it, so here i am in this thread.

So, hardware seems to be an issue on this frame? Is fixing this as simple as just buying the OEM specialized hardware kit? You guys have a part number or whatever for that?

And i was told something about bushings or something? What are those are where do they go? Rear shock or something, idk im out of my element.

And something about a flip chip or something like that? What does all this mean?

All my parts are ordered (with the exception of the seatpost). Brakes, wheels, fork, shock, drivetrain, bars, brakes, damn near the whole bike. But am i understanding correctly that i'll need to buy hardware, bushings, etc?

Thanks for any help on this. Sorry for my incoherent rambling, im really out of my element on full suspension bikes (hardtails are simple enough).

Woooo!!! I ordered an air wolf stumpjumper type bike. STOKED to finally get onto a f/s bike. Already built up a rigid air wolf version of the Santa Cruz highball frame which was and continues to be pretty Sweet.

So obviously, I've built up a bike before so I am good on building a rigid bike but the new one is going to be a bit different circumstances so a few questions

Tha FORK: does the crown race come with the headset? The rigid I built was an old fork with a str8 steerer chewb (tube) so I had to buy a specific crown race to make it fit the tapered head tube on da frame. So that's why I don't know the answer to this question.

Also in da fork : yo, is all 150mm travel forks the same height? Is that really the only thing I need to look at when buying a fork? I want a tapered steerer on it so no adaptor, but anything else I need to factor in? It's gonna be a boost fork yo

THE SHAWK: yo, the frame just specifies 2 measurements for the rear shock. something like 200-55mm . Is that the only thing I need to make sure I get in the rear shock?

CRANX: yo it's a boost frame. I think I saw something that said boost spacing requires wider cranks or something? Also it's a BSA68 bottom bracket, what size cranks do I need? The first bike I bought had a pf30 bottom bracket so I ordered a crankset that said pf30 on it, and it didn't fit. So what qualities will I need to look for in a crankset to make sure they work?

Yo the wheels: hey what do I need to look for in wheels? Will any old 148mm thru axle wheel work for me? And as far as far cassette, can I just get any old 11 speed cassette? Would it need to be boost specific?

Yo dog if you got any other tips, recommendations, etc please let me know or whatever.

Thanks, one love

29er / What type of bike you guys think this is?

So the ad calls it an eduro bike, but the 122mm rear travel makes me question that designation.

Also, does this bike seem like a copy of any other bike on the market? No that that matters , just a fun question lol.
