For anybody that might have been, or winds up in my position - I found a source for the thru axle insert.

I emailed sales.flyxii@hotmail.com and got a quick response.  Attached a picture of the part.

Is it a DUB crankset/BB?  They either come with, or you can get (the right) spacers for them.  It's a trial and error thing with these frames.

I have a Flyxii FE-711 that is pretty close in looks, geometry, and specs of a Stache 29+.  Actually bought it because I couldn't find a carbon Stache frame at the start of 2020.

I currently have it built with a set of boost Duroc 50s, alternate between 29x3.0 Maxxis DHF/DHRII and 29x3.0 Vittoria Cannoli, 130mm Rockshox Yari, and a full SLX 7100 groupset and brakes.  Pretty close to stock Trek kit and there is a ton of room in the rear for an even larger volume tire.  The headtube on the FE-711 is probably a bit longer, but other than that most should just transfer right over.

I tried to get a few other 29+ frames from from Aliexpress but they either weren't available or only in smaller sizes in stock from retired molds.  Flyxii quality can be questionable, if you do decide to get one make sure to inspect it thoroughly.

That is the exact same frame as the DIY one I just bought.  How did/did you deal with the right side rear dropout?  I saw a pic of someone's bike with what looked like a reversible insert with 12x1.5 thread, rather than the gaping open slot with two holes.  Let's see if this link works:

First time poster here!
Reviving this thread, because I recently bought a DIY Stache "PT29".  I am putting it together now, and had trouble with the rear thru axle alignment.  The machining work was somewhat flawed where the axle would pass no problem without the derailleur hanger installed, but with it the axle arrived at the other side somewhere between the two (forward and rear) positions.  After MANY back and forth messages with "Ty" where his responses essentially dodged the problem, I realized that I was on my own.  This, I suppose, is where one pays the price for opting for a lower cost Chinese frame.  Especially when the product passes through someone that may also sell sneakers.

The part that pisses me off the most is that the right side is machined for what looks like an oval insert that is likely threaded to accept the thru axle.  I saw the exact same frame on Pinkbike for sale WITH this part.  Ty at DIY played the fool, having no idea what I was talking about, just like with the axle alignment.

I cannot say that the frame is junk, or that Ty is a bad guy, but I was extremely let down with the support.

Maybe I will post an update when I get farther down the road with the build.

Attached a pic of the part I lack.
If anyone knows what the heck this part is, PLEASE let me know!
