Anyone else experienced or experiencing similar delays in delivery?

I ordered mine around the same time last year. Couldn't track it, but to my surprise it suddenly arrived in February.
So just try to patient  ;)

After a bit of fiddling with the saddle I also figured out I have to order the Retrofit Kit 7x9.6mm for Seat Posts... Haha
For now I have my old saddle with steel rails on.

Bike is almost done!

This is coming together nicely. I'm curious about the end result and how it rides.

New updates  ;D
Here's V3.0 of my 177.

Thank you for your post. Reminds me to post an update on my VB-R-177 soon myself. Although I’ve done way less too my bike  ;D.
Can you tell us a bit more about the process of painting and repainting the bike by yourself? I’m genuinely interested.

Yea I got the 20 euro/ dollar one on ali express, its surprisingly more comfortable than my fizik antares, definitely worth 20 dollars no matter which way you put it. also comes in at about 90g

Yes I agree, I've got a similar saddle from Velobuild. But I was actually curious about the seat post, it seems to look different then the one that came with my frame.

Nice Build. Thanks for posting. Looks like you used another seat post then delivered by Velobuild?

My Dengfu R12
Assembled with the new Shimano 105 DI2

That's a beauty, marvelous paint job too. Is that the Posbank in the backgound?

I soon hope to be adding to this thread as I pulled the trigger on a 58cm A9 frame. I have a particular high inseam (93cm) and needed a frame with a longish seat tube, ruling out the Velobuild options - but also wanted something a bit higher quality.

I was after a white frame with black components built and coincidentally they had one in my size finished and ready to go - below is an image from Ican which used their specific graphics, kinda like it.

Regarding tire size, they do indeed claim 28c as the max, even when prompted. However, they mentioned as well the clearance is bigger than the A22 frame and a fellow Chinertown member mentioned 32mm is not an issue on the A22 frame. I'll find out soon enough.

I also scored a set of wheels from Peter, advertised here in the forum, 44mm deep, 28mm outer width. Now onto groupsets, for which I think I will go the mechanical route, possibly R8000,
anything hydraulic or electronic seems out of proportion in price/value.

Edit: Ultegra 8020 it is  :) couldn't help myself (Merlin Cycles)

Looking forward to see the end result. Good luck with the build.

I finished my VB-R-177 build yesterday. With Shimano 105 and DT Swiss 470 rims on Prime hubs, it's not super-light, coming in at 7.5kg.

Issues:
- the handlebar channels for concealed cables are very tight
- very difficult to mount the headset assembly with concealed cables and avoid headset play
- matt back paint is not even across the whole frame

Other than that, I'm pretty happy. This is my training bike, not for racing.

Very respectable weight!!! Congratulations.

The winner is... mwh0169!

Just email eddy@haidelibicycle.com and order your FM-M009 hardtail frame. Congrats! Hope you enjoy it.

Please do share a build thread... It's always cool to see what people choose to do with their freebies.

As a side note, the one thing I don't like about these giveaways is that everyone has to put their trust in me to conduct a fair contest and, as far as I can tell, there isn't really a good way to choose a winner that would allow you all to witness the drawing process. I thought there would be some type of app or something, but not that I could find... So, just for those that may be interested, all I did was list all of the valid entries in a spreadsheet and and go to Google's random number generator and input the amount of entries and took the first result. In the future, if anyone has any better ideas, I'm open. Thanks to all that participated!

Hi,
The very happy and lucky winner here.  :) ;D

It will be my first MTB build. I promise to post updates of the build here.
Many thanks to HDL.

Mine also broke. I kept forgetting it was there and would pop it off by removing the axle with the end cap still attached. Eventually it broke, I lost it, and have been riding without it ever since

LOL I had literally the same problem. Looks quite ugly without endcap.

Was somewhat skeptical at first but the carbon saddle from VB that I bought with the bike is the most comfortable I owned so far. Even compared too much more expensive saddles I bought in the past. Weight is just under 140 grams. Hope it will stay safe  :D

It is very good.
Just a question: is the top bearing of the head set 36°x45° version?
Thanks
I honestly don't know, used the existing bearings and the rest that came with the Deda Superbox stem (integrated topcap, headset spacers en topcover for the headtube 56mm & 46mm, D-clip insert.
I saw you can pick them up with big discounts at the moment here in Europe.
Best upgrade to VB-R-177 so far.
