Heads up with customer service experience with Magene. The larger crank bolt mechanism worked itself loose recently on my pes505 (which from what I gather is not all that uncommon). I contacted Magene and they said they would replace it but I'm being charged $30 USD for shipping for that small part. I find it hard to believe that it costs that much to ship something so small, given most stuff that size ships free from China to Canada.
I wish they were just honest and said they have to charge me for the part, even then $30usd for a bolt is crazy expensive for that part. Unfortunately the thread size is different so Shimano or Senicx don't work.

Has anyone seen any oversized pulley wheels for Shimano 105 12 speed (7100)? I can't seem to find any.

Another interesting tidbit from that catalogue, looks like (probably as expected) we should see new ER9 soon to match new ERX.



I don't understand why the range on the RD is so small. The latest Shimano 12 speed rear mechs all go to 36.

Holding up great so far, but I haven't put to many miles on it yet. I have zero concerns about the wheel set given light bicycles reputation. The fit and finish on the rim is amazing. Very true, tension is even, they're built very well. The cranks are very well built too, I don't believe there will be any issues.

Love the new colours of the G2. I have one of the original green with black forks.  Curious about the full internal setup with mechanical, I have a new groupset coming soon and am curious to set up full internal, can you provide some advice/tips to do it?

Today I sorted out my ER9 shifting. Unfortunately I picked the wrong bike frame to convert. I opted to use my TFSA (SL7 clone) frameset and despite having ports for Di2, the ER9 cable won't fit in the chainstay RD hole. So I had to route the cable externally. Also I tried running 52-36/11-34t and it's not that great. It shifts fine, but there's too much chain slack. I did try a shorter length chain while enabling gear protection, but you can still shift into big/big from small/big. I could potentially destroy the derailleur. I ended up sizing back down to 50-34 and kept the 11-34t. Chain length remained the same from my previous 50-34/11-32t combo.

So far I was able to properly fine tune shifting on my Goldix 12 speed 11-34t lightweight cassette. In fact the cassette shifts greats. I had some minor shift issues with the FD, though I was able to get it sorted. I installed an FD chain catcher for good measure (not needed on my Ultegra R8000 FD). Hopefully I'll be able to to get the bike up and running this weekend, and I'll report back.

Also I picked up a small packet of dielectric grease at the auto store. Just to verify, do I put it inside the connector port cable or just around the connector?

So the ER9 can be set up with 12 speed? I always see it advertised as an 11 speed groupset.

Does anyone know why YBN 11 and 12 speed chains aren't available to ship to Canada now?
I can't seem to find one that will ship to Canada these days.

Well, I found him on FB and sent him a message. Said I knew him from eBay but heard from others knew he worked though other channels as well. Said we could both save some money if we didn't rely on eBay and asked for a shipped price on the shifters and brakes. He responded with $400. Depending on the auction, eBay price is right at $300 after shipping/sales tax. I guess I'll keep working that angle.

I'm in the US so Star Bike and R2 aren't an option. I've done a lot of business w/ R2 in the past and even made money reselling DT Swiss fat hub sets stateside. In the meantime R2 has quit shipping DT Swiss to the US, which sucks because I need a few things from Dt Swiss still. Neither Star or R2 will ship Shimano.

I've explored getting things shipped to Canada and then reshipped to the US from a third party but I couldn't find anything remotely objective to determine what it would cost so I have no idea if it would be worth it. If anyone has any thoughts on that I'd appreciate it. ...might have to make another post.

R2 and Starbike won't ship to Canada either so we're all out of luck here in North America.

Isn't that the version that Wheeltop was forced to make because SRAM sued them? I would think the removable battery version is the more better version to have.

I can't believe they were able to get a patent on the concept of removable battery. Being able to put a patent on such a basic concept is ridiculous.

I would have for sure bought this crankset if subcompact cranks was available. I want 48-32 direct mount, powermeter and 165mm options. For aliexpress cranks, it's always pick 2 sadly  :-\

Same, I'm looking for a gravel gearing crankset and have no interest in the 50-34 or 53-39 cranksets.

There's a bunch of news hiding in what looks like plain sight in Ltwoo's updated catalogue:

On the MTB side, there's a new 'T' series of shifters/derailleurs with clutch rear derailleurs. These are across the range, going from 8-13 speed. There's also the semi-electronic shifters as has already been shown.





For gravel, there's the new shifter shape available in 1x12, with brake calipers (as has been leaked previously). There's also a new rear derailleur with a clutch that comes over from the MTB line, but has been redesigned to take a barrel adjuster which is across the range from 9-12 speed. All other components remain the same.



On the road, the new shifters are available in a 2x12 version, with aluminium or carbon blades.



No separate brake caliper listed so I assume it's the same as the gravel one. No other new road components, and the new lever shape is only seen on the 2x12 hydraulic content, everything else remains the same.

Can't wait to see when this becomes available and the pricing.
