It's me again.
The cabeling in the handlebars and stem has now worked, but there is a problem to lay the 4 cables in the area of the headset.
Currently I lay the cables from the handlebars through the compression ring into the frame to the brakes and the derailleurs and then try to install the fork. I try 2 cables left and 2 right from the fork tube to pass, but it does not work. Since the cables from Jagwire Pro Set are very rigid, I have enormous problems to install the fork and at the same time compression ring.
Does anyone have tips or a video what this explains well?

My build  is progressing piece by piece.

As the first wheelset I will use the ENT Elite Wheels with Conti 5000 in 28mm.

I bought the ZRace BR-005 to mount on my wife's future Velobuild GF-002 gravel bike. I have read that for the best braking performance I need the brakes with Jagwire cables and housings. Can someone tell me exactly which product I need there? I find many different options.

In addition, I have ordered the Cooma brake pads.

About Sizing: Why you should go for a 52 on the 168 I dont understand. This is way smaller. Have you compared the bikes on geometrygeeks.bike?

I went for the 168 as I wanted to have something in between climbing and aero. You may be aware of the integrated stem/bar combo as it's like the Metron 5d with foward bend.

Color: You order, then get a mail by chris with your color wishes and send him pantone codes. Then you get a mockup to approve, tada!

Shipping to Germany: Go for XDB. No additional taxes as it comes via Belgium or Netherlands to Germany.

Chris advised me to go with size 52 based on my specs. When I compared the data on Geometrygeeks, I noticed that the size 54 is closer to my Focus.
At the Focus I sit comfortably, but have the problem that I have the seatpost almost all the way down because of my leg length.
In addition, the setback of the seatpost.
For these 3 reasons I thought that Chris is right with the 52 and that could probably fit.
But I'm no specialist for bike geometries.

With the color I have now understood everything. But still looking for the right dark red shiny color as in the posted picture. Is there a pantone color palette somewhere?

I would like to order my frame from Velobuild tomorrow at the latest (BlackFriday).
I was actually sure at the beginning that I want a VBR-168. However, through various videos and forum posts I am now again considering between VBR-168, VBR-177 and VBR-218.

Visually, I like the VBR-168 the best. I'm just tormented by the question: are the other two frames better in terms of speed/aerodynamics/weight in conjunction with comfort and workmanship/material?
In general, it's pretty flat where we live. I like to go fast and don't let it roll, but do not participate in competitions.

I'm 172cm tall with a 78cm inseam (short legs). It is my first bike and I sit there actually quite well on it, only problem: The seatpost is only minimally extended due to my short legs. So I would like to have a shorter seat tube on the new bike. My optimal seat height is 69cm.

For VBR-168 Chris has advised me to size S 52. For the others I have no info yet.

1. which frame of the three would you choose and why?
2. what size should I choose for 218 and 177?
3. how to order a special color that is not in the store? By email?
4. what is the difference between EMS and XDB shipping to Germany? Which one should I take? I'll have 2 frames sent to me right away. Other is GF-002 for my wife.

I currently own an aging aluminum road bike "Focus Culebro" and am currently playing with the idea of building me a new road bike with China bike frame. The old one will then be used for the roller trainer. Lately, my girlfriend also enjoys road cycling, so I want to surprise her with her first own road bike.
So I need 2 frames, and would like to get them from the same supplier to save shipping costs.

Road bike of my girlfriend:
With the frame it would be ideal if this has an endurance geometry, coupled with good tire clearance, the possibility to mount mudguards and, to save costs, rim brakes (but this will probably be difficult). If there is not this combination with rim brakes I would, for cost reasons, put on mechanical disc brakes.

Since here in the forum much is written about Velobuild, I came across their Gravelframe Velobuild GF-002. The advantage I see here is that I could almost convert this to a normal road bike if she likes road cycling less than thought. You can mount bags etc making the bike suitable for commuting. A real all-rounder. Unfortunately this one only seems to be available with disc brakes though.
Any experience with this frame or better alternatives?

Since it will be her first road bike and I do not yet know how much she will use it, I would like to build it cheap with China components.
-Sensah Empire Pro 2x11 34/50T with 11/34 cassette
or Sensah SRX Pro 1x12 44T with 10/44 cassette.
The bike is to be used 90% on the road. However, with a 12-speed cassette I can imagine that 1 chainring is enough.
How do you see it?
-Z-Race BR-005 with 160mm rotor and with Jagwire cables.
About this one hears a lot of bad. This is also the reason why I would rather have rim brakes.
Is there a proven alternative?
-Elitewheels ENT 50mm deep 28mm wide + Conti 5000
-Which BB do I need to use?

If in your opinion the GF002 frame from Velobuild is good for the above needs I would like to try to order my frame from Velobuild as well to save shipping costs.
Due to the large thread I have noticed here so far especially the frame VB-R-168D. The opinions seem to be very positive. I'm looking for a frame that isn't super heavy but focuses on aerodynamics, basically the middle between Race and Endurance with a bit of aerodynamics. I am 172cm with 78cm stride length and need a sice recommendation.
I would like to do without disc brakes, but find no good options to do so.
I would like to install a SRAM Rival Etap and Elitewheels Drive 50D, as I have heard much positive about both.

I would also like to have feedback on the plan for my bike or good alternatives.
