Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Velobuild VB-R-168 Frame

Realized I never posted completed bike
Completed for around $2200 with all mistakes included
- Sensah Empire x SRAM components
- FSA headset for ease of service and adjustment
- Bars and stem from OG-EVKIN
- Rims from Peter on this forum, I built them myself on Ryet hubs

Dialing in fit still but very happy with the miles I've done so far.
Only issue I've had is the VB bottle cages, one of them had the bottom tab fail

the horror as I see there no tires and its on concrete.  Think of the scratches

haha it was gently placed there, these rims have a good finish on them as well
bike is currently at a shop getting the BB pressed in after I ordered the wrong BB...
looks like this with the OG-evkin bars and FSA headset. It was much easier to run cable through these bars and they feel well made.

Hopefully will have it back this weekend to complete build

I am currently building a wheelset with ryet hubs, they see, pretty decent to me. Have not been able to ride them yet

starting to look like a bike
waiting on OG-Evkin stem and bars to arrive, wasn't happy with the provided bar and stem because of cable routing tightness

Still putting the bike together so no report on how the ride but I built them up with Ryet ceramic hubs from aliexpress and sapim spokes. Had no issues lacing and truing and they look great!

Managed to get the cables routed through the bars after some filing and swearing.  But now when I try to insert my brake cables they are getting stuck somewhere around the stem. I'm guessing the housing is getting crimped somehow, it is very tight in there.   I will keep trying to work this issue, hoping I won't have to pull the housing out to check for issues

I have the FSA headset on order along with new bars and stem from Ali but who knows when that will arrive.

Anyone else have issue with the separate bar and stem? The holes in the bars are way too small to make the turns needed

For me the brand new toyota (velobuild) is the nicest car I'd have ridden to date
