« on: November 14, 2024, 05:50:39 AM »That's a nice color! British racing green?Very close, I wanted British Racing Green but it was very difficult to get a good quality can, I tested a few and they were all pretty bad quality.
Ended up going with Mipa Ral 6005 Moss Green which is the closes match without going for a custom can.
The clear coat really brings the shine, its SprayMax 2K Gloss clear.

« on: November 14, 2024, 03:45:28 AM »How much spacers do you have and which on 2x crank?No spacers, OEM 105 Chainrings swapped onto the Magene spider powermeter. They run close but enough clearance and no rub. Shifts perfectly.

Taken it out on 1 60km ride so far, some small issues but very happy. Slipping seatpost and forgot to charge Di2 battery.
Pretty bad experience with the seller sending a primer painted frame when I requested raw carbon, then took 2 months to resolve through AliExpress. Ended with a $50 refund.
The first fork they sent had a large divet in the carbon, they sent another after some argument.
Wouldn't buy from the seller again based on this.

This was a very long project I did twice after the first one turned out badly. etoe on YouTube was great.
The full steps after lots of experiments.
Sanding
2K primer, 2 coats
Sanding
Colour, 3 coats
2K Clearcoat, 3 coats
Sanding
Polishing
It took many days, so much sanding, the spraying was the easy part, the sanding took ages.
It turned out good, I love the colour but there are some dust specks in the clear and some marks. Ended up spending £300 on painting supplies... but I learned all about spray painting so it was valuable.

So after a few days of arguing Airwolf have agreed on a $50 refund and a new fork.
They are asking me to pay an extra 0.1Usd to create a new order.
Any ideas whether I should do this? Reading online it seems fine as I have received the original order.

I guess they dont have live stock tracking so covering their backs? The anniversary sale will be busy for them

Not a good start, I requested a raw carbon unpainted frame and they sent me a frame covered in white primer.
The steerer tube is very questionable with some quite deep gouges in the carbon, its probably strong though. Probably... Curios to see what you guys think.
The Ryet Blank Inc. clone is not compatible, there is no way to feed the hoses through, my fault that one. Hopefully no return issues.

So chances are they still have to paint it before they can send it.

Looks like AliX is getting stricter with coupons on multiple accounts. Had most of my orders cancelled, I did rinse it a bit though to be fair.
