Attached image shows 6mm gap between frame chainstay and 42t chainring. I don’t know if 44 would fit for sure but I suspect it would.

Component Deals & Selection / Re: LTWOO RX hydro sets

I’ve been wondering this as well. I get the mech dialed in and a few rides later its off. Not terribly, but noticeably. Contemplating upgrading to some jag wire cable. Surely a better cable will help with shifting.

I just installed the GRT and had poor shifting, hard shifting and inconsistent indexing. I have the carbon version of the GRT 1x12 and initially there was so much resistance when shifting the rear that I thought the shifter would break. I found the problem, the hardened steel cable guide that the cable travels thru on the rear derailleur is not beveled/radius-ed like they are on my Shimano derailleurs. As delivered the cable has to ride over a hardened steel 90 degree sharp edge. I took my dremel tool with a diamond bit and added a radius and now my shifting is more consistent and easier. I no longer feel like the shift paddle is going to break. I really can't believe that this is designed so poorly. The picture below shows the problem area after I gound down the sharp edge, I didn't grab a before picture.

I just finished building up this frame and feel I should add my experience with this headset. I experienced the loose headset/steerer tube problem and was going to order the Deda compression ring as described in this thread but I found my problem was user error. I’d never set up a carbon steerer tube before and didn’t realize fork compression plug is inserted and tightened separately and before the headset preload is tightened. Once I tightened that up properly I no longer have any headset play. I bought the frame from Spcycle and had a good experience, frame arrived painted and packaged very well and was on time.

Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / 62cm frames available?
« on: July 27, 2023, 12:54:43 PM »
I've looked but have not been able to locate a frame some someone that is 6'4"/194 cm. Do these exist in chinertown or am I stuck buying one of the big name brands?

They offered this frame to me today. I don't actually mind the paint scheme but am waiting to hear what kind of discount they will offer.

I'm 180cm with 81 inseam which I think would fit the large. Any insight would be helpful.

How are you liking you frame choice?

If anyone else is interested, there should be an extra GR047 kicking around at tantan.

I ordered one a while back and it was ready to ship right before Christmas. Unfortunately the paint wasnt right, paint shop used an "off by one" paintcode that was substantially different, if not bad looking itself. TanTan was great about the mixup, and Im currently waiting for the rush order replacement frame to come through. I reckon you could get this one today, without the 4-6 week production wait, if you dig this paint (YS9321-1).

I'm seriously considering this frame for a new build but have not found any sizing guidance. I'm 5'11" (179.5 cm) tall 32" (81.25cm) inseem, what size would I order?

Thanks
