I bought this frame as well for my wife, in size XS, from velobuild, version gf-003. Very happy overall but am struggling with having a snug fit while installing the headset. I am using the headset provided by velobuild. My understanding is that the order is as follows from bottom to top:
- fork
- crown race
- bearing 1
- (head tube)
- bearing 2
- reducer/compression ring (don't know the name)
- metal washer / shim
- dust seal
- all the spacers I want
- top cap (on top of star nut).

I see quite a wide gap at the bottom close and at the top of the head tube. I am not sure if (1) the two bearings are the same, although they look like exactly it, (2) where the metal washer/shim goes. Attached pictures of the space I have

Hi all,

I have a carbonda cfr696 as my gravel bike and a elves vanyar pro as my road bike. I now plan to get a bike for my wife. She is 160cm tall.
Requirements/would be nice are:
- women specific geometry
- with bikepacking mount points (top tube, pannier, fenders, fork not necessary)
- tire clearance for at least 32/34, perhaps a full gravel bike but also road endurance with higher clearance
- basically if she puts 30/32mm tires she can have a nice endurance road bike and if she puts bigger tires she can have a gravel bike

I was looking at the Liv Avail AR 1 if I was going mainstream brand, otherwise I was kooing at:
- Velobuild GF-003
- Carbonda 696 or 707 (although non women geometry)
- Elves Avari Pro (road oriented and max tire of 30mm unforunately)

Can you help me out?

why 3d printed only for really tall and lightweight? (which fits my description, I believe, and am considering)

I've seen a few instagram posts that Elves is about to release the 2023 version of their ultralight/climbing frame the Vanyar Disc Pro, this time with UCI Approval.

Anyone has more details, specs, weight or release date? What do you think?

personally I've been looking forward to this, it seems it maintains a rounded seatpost, it gets integrated routing cables, but I can't see other differences.
