Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / Sodce Alloy Gravel Frameset
« on: October 27, 2024, 09:46:12 AM »
Just saw this very unique looking alloy frameset. Clearance for 700x45mm, integrated headset cabling, UDH rear hanger, drop stays and made of alloy as opposed to the typical carbon chinese fare. Not a fan of proprietary carbon aero seat posts

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Velobuild VB-R-168 Frame

Internal routing questions (using Shimano R7000 groupset). I put gear cancels
From the rear to the head tube to guide the housing. Rear mech was easy peasy.

I’m having a lot of trouble routing the hydraulic hose from the headtube to the rear. The guide cable went in easily from the rear, but I cannot get the hydraulic line to follow it at the rear stay exit. Is the little piece of plastic removable? That is where I am getting stuck repeatedly.

Regarding the front mech routing.. pretty extreme angle at the bottom bracket. Not the best design.

Looks like Xcadey is now selling a generation 2 spider (on panda podium and aliexpress) for $250. Anyone try these yet?

Recently purchased a VB168.

Opted not have any any VB stem/bars as I wanted to use a standard combo. Purchased a FSA69 SRS headset.

I’ve noticed that the frame/fork foul on one another with the FSA bearing/crown race on the lower (top is fine) but that there is no issues running the stock headset lower.

Have others experienced this?
