They did much better than anyone should reasonable expect. Props to velobuild for that paint job. Meanwhile I had a much more simple request and I got fucked by velobuild

You can buy the frame if you are so in love with that paint job :D

don't expect to pay minimum $ and get premium on everything.

Did you read my post before? I said, that I know what I paid and what I can expect. The use case of the forum is to share experiences. Well I had bad experiences and I shared them. Do what you want to do with this information.

Did you communicate colors code to velobuild? after first mock up I communicate them the pantone of the color and color painted was as expected

I did. I chose a dark purple for the top tube. They painted it blue instead.
Last time Velobuild for me!

...more from my site:

I bought another AERO GRAV frame for my girlfriend with a custom paint job.
VB shipped the frame without sending me a picture beforehand. I chose a paint job from a factor vam and they made a clownish paint job, which you can find in the VB-gallery (blue/purple/orange).
They say it looks the same... After countless mails back and forth they won't admit that the paint job is not slightly how it should be.

I know it is a cheap paint job and you can't expect too much from it. But VB shows again that the customers opinion more or less does not matter.

Please be careful with custom paint jobs and be sure to get a picture of the frame before it is shipped!

My choice: ICAN TT17 - if I only would get it shipped to Germany! Thanks to Stevens Bikes it is not possible. If you are not from Germany take a look at this frame set.

Hi,
I’m planning to building this frame out with transmission RD as well (12sp GX Eagle Transmission). Does this one require 1.0 axle as well? Where did you order yours? Straight from Velobuild?

Thanks

It was not a 1.0 axle included when I bought mine. So I bought another one (I mentioned the measurements etc. a few pages before)

Don't ask us. Ask them and you will get an answer.

Hi there,

after a short communication with Airwolf I got a geometry table of a new frame, which is more or less a Mondraker Arid. It has UDH, but I don't if it has a storage box.

This thread should be used to gather more informations about the frame and possible vendors.

Cheers!

I the case of my frame there was also a gap between the compression ring and cover. Luckily I had another c-ring (which was not that thick) and now the gap is acceptable.

In case you're from germany you can send me dm (no language barrier).

I bought two frames from VB: both times headset was included. BB is not included (makes sense, cause VB doesn't know which crankset you are using).

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Bitranz Road Wheelset?
« on: August 27, 2025, 01:05:17 AM »
Hi,

since I could not find any tests or experiences about the road wheel sets from bitranz (but a lot of them in the Mtb section), I would like to gather your thoughts about it. I'm interested in the 65mm ultralight wheelset, iw25, ew32
