what cassette are you using? 105?

Thanks

Yes, 105 and it works fine.

Did anyone manage to fit an 11-34 and test it out?

Also looking to know pulley wheel dimensions and how many teeth... would change those to a purple if mine would fit

Yes, I have the 11-34 12-speed cassette with a compact chainring in the front and it works great. I think it should be possible to go even bigger.

Hi, is anyone else having issues with trimming? I adjusted the front derailleur (low and high limits), so it doesn't rub against the chain when it is shifted in one of the extreme positions (1st or 12th cog) in the rear. I am noticing, however, that the position of the front derailleur doesn't change for all intermediate gears even when pressing the shifter button for the second time. It seems to me that there are only three or four intermediate positions at the front that change depending on what gear I am in at the back. This leads to slight rubbing of the chain against the derailleur in some gears (in my case, 5th and 6th cogs are problematic when I am in the large chainring at the front).

Is this a problem with adjusting the derailleur? Maybe there is a magic button in the app that solves this problem? Any other ideas how to fix this? This seems like a purely software problem to me.

please look in the manual of the bracket, the frame is BB86 in the manual you will find how many spacers on which side you need, for example if it is a sram Dub bracket it woult be one spacer on the right side (which i assume should also be fine for you)

Hey, thanks, I actually figured it out soon after asking the question but didn't post anything about my solution. As you mention, the specs are crank dependent, so the information was (in my case) available in the Shimano's 105 crankset documentation.

Hi, I have been lurking in this thread for a while, but now finally the time has come to assemble my own VB-R-177. I received the frame few days ago, but I am largely still waiting for other parts. One of the things that arrived in my mail today was the bottom bracket. It came with a ~2mm spacer, that I am unsure whether it is needed, or which side of the bottom bracket I should put it on. I am attaching an image to make sure you understand what I mean.

I have a Shimano 105 R7100 crankset, and I will be running the L-TWOO eR9 groupset. How would I determine whether I need to put on this spacer? Did you put one on when you were assembling this frame?

There is another super cheap goldix direct-mount CNC crank on ali with lower Q and 24 mm steel spindle - I'd rather take that one for those reasons, but that's just personal preferences (fuck, I'd put narrow track cranks on all my bikes if I could). It's usually around 30 bucks for the crank alone (a bit more with EU import tax). I have one, but never mounted it (because reasons on my end), so, never ridden one.

The crank you reference is actually giving mixed information about whether the axle is steel or aluminum. First, the description says "3. Axis Chrome-molybdenum steel, High strength, High temperature resistance, Preservative, Light weight.", but then later "Shaft Material: 7075 aluminum alloy".

Do you have this specific model at home? Could you check which material the axle if built from?

Ok, I ordered the eR9 as well, paid 393€ on Aliexpress. I guess there is going to be a lot of beta testers in ~two weeks.

I paid 467,39 EUR + 13 EUR in customs fees when it arrived. I'm based in Germany.

467€ directly on aliexpress and 13€ to the post company?

Can you share which shipping method you used? I am tempted to try my own luck.
