I suspect that when sanding before painting, too many layers of the carbon layup were sanded away. I think 4 or maybe 5 layers were sanded through, as you can see in the photo. Designs with edges don't seem to be ideal in this regard. I'll test the next frame very carefully.

That's a normal carbon fiber layup look.

Did you have an issue with the painitng on your frame before he sent it?
The reason I ask was because I was onto Mondince during this week looking to buy an FM336 and he said he had some prepainted ones in stock if I could be tempted.
One of them looked very similar to yours , in L, but the paint on the bottom of the fork was a bit 'redder' then the back.As it was a L it was too big otherwise I would have probably bought it!!


Also for those who are using it on the road how are you finding it?
I plan to use mine as primarily as road bike with 40mm road tyres!

Oh so this one is still there. I thought they changed the fork only. Because I requested orange fork without rivets. And the one that came has no rivets and different painting. And look what answer I've got when asked about it😉
Still the painting is not exactly what I wanted. Finnish should be sparkling and it's not. I wonder if this frame has sparkling finnish then 😛

How is clearance with 86.5 mm T47 bottom bracket shells with this PM? Considering it for a cheap powermeter upgrade for my gravel bike (which would also get rid of my shitty GXP crankset).

In the thread there are some feedbacks that it fits wit T47.

I agree with what you're saying: for 28mm tires, a 23-24mm internal width (IW) rim is likely the ideal choice. However, I’d like a 25–26mm internal width rim that keeps that option open, even though the best pairing is with 30–32mm tires (based on what you're saying, it would be possible with these rims as well).

Thanks for the tip; however, I notice that the Pulse rim is the same width as my DAO Optimax Light 50mm wheels (23mm IW and 30.5mm external width/OW). If I opt for a 60mm profile, I’d prefer a wider external rim width—though a wider rim doesn't automatically guarantee less wind sensitivity.

As for whether Tagoola manufactures its wheels in-house or outsources production, that doesn't really matter much to me either. What counts is that the product is solid (I'm currently very happy with my Tagoolas) and that the company is responsive if issues arise. If they do indeed source from Yishun, I’d view that as a sign of quality and reliability, based on what I’ve read about Yishun (incidentally, it looks like they use the same 3.4mm carbon spokes).

Regarding the graphics, I honestly prefer the look of my DAO (see photo) over the Tagoola Peak/Pulse (and the Aero Raptor ones too) but, of course, everyone has their own taste.

No manufacturer will say you that there's an option to put 28 mm tire on 25 IW rim. It's against ERTRO standard. But sure you can do that on hooked rims.
