I caved today… Got ER9, a Lexon 24mm crankset and few other items.  Stocking up a new build next year.  Based on prices over the last month, I saved between 150-200.00 overall.  Almost pulled the trigger on some carbon wheels but I couldn’t find what I wanted.

My wife says it's technically not "saving money" if I'm actually buying stuff I didn't need

Ordered KMC 12spd Aurora chain, MZYRH oil slick pedals (Vault clones), a ton of Risk oil slick bolts, Tito Ti stem spacers, Bucklos valves, 2 sets of Cooma Gold metallic brake pads, and the ZTTO DR390 wheelset, $282 after tax total.

Stocked and ready for a Tariffic AliExplosion.

Is it really that difficult to find good deals? It took me a while to figure out the dos and don'ts of product categories and brands, but now that I know it's still incredibly easy to find high value parts...for now...

4
Alright how many of you are staying up super late (early) in America to nab the goods? Lol

Are KMC chains from Ali legit? Looking at this 12sp for $22

I've tried CF and titanium cages and I just go back to plastic cages mainly due to fit issues. This is one area where plastic just does a good job being secure.

Can you recommend your favorite cages from AliExpress? Any good side load plastic cages?

I'm wondering if you believe that the golden era of cheap bike parts will be over soon? Will the dock strikes increase AliExpress shipping prices across the board? Will the potential next president's proposed tariff plan absolutely destroy our ability to get cheap bike parts from China?

I'm wondering because I am in the process of building a new MTB, and deciding whether I should wait until Black Friday/11-11 sales, or just strike now.

Looking in particular at a set of Shimano Deore M6120 brakes and Elitewheels ENT-MTB wheelset.

I'm not an experienced builder. If I buy the version that comes with a bottom bracket, I should be good to go, correct? I've never used DUB and usually stick with Shimano. But the bottom bracket will fit in all threaded bottom bracket frames correct? Then I will be good for the cranks to go in the provided bottom bracket. I was gonna put it in either my Knolly Fugitive or my my BXT Hightower clone. They are both threaded so I should be good right? Or am I missing something? Is it the right width? Will I need spacers? Thanks guys

As long as your BB is threaded you'll be good to go as it's 99% BSA (English threaded) as most modern bikes are. If your BB is press-fit, it will not work and you'll need a press-fit DUB BB. You probably have a 73mm shell (68 is usually on road bikes) so run your BB spacers accordingly.

my experience is rhinowalk just can't be beaten for a toptube or saddle bag from aliex. to get better you'll be looking at 3x the price elsewhere imo.

I have like 4 Rhinowalk bags at this point, they're all excellent.

Can anyone recommend quality tools from Aliexpress for T47 bottom bracket installation and wheel hub service(removal etc.)

Look up Risk and I think Deemount makes some as well

Good to all! I would be thrilled to win a frame to review.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Anybody got a source for big platform pedals? Looking for something comparable to the Pedaling Innovations Catalyst. Thanks.

Nothing like this exists yet

The best MTB pedals on Ali are MZYRH 326 (Vault clone) or 327 (Original model) or Shanmashi (various models)

Just a heads up. Don’t know if this applies to all vendors selling this but this guys shows it’s very bad. In another forum a guy bought one and the spindle nut continuously loosens.

These are the shitty looking counterfeits

The Evosid ones actually look high quality

Ryet is trash

Yeah I did more research after posting that and it seems their wheels aren't very well regarded. I'll stick to Elitewheels if I do get a backup set

Just bought it.  Couldn't wait for shorter options.

What color? I'd love to see pics when you get them
