I don't know these hubs specifically, but usually all you need is an XD freehub - take off the old HG freehub and replace it with your new XD one. And when I say 'all' I mean that you may need an XD-specific endcap too.

Typically, swapping freehubs doesn't require any tools even. The freehub needs to be specific to you hub model though, so you may need to ask Yuan An about getting a replacement.

Having said that, there is a remote chance that the Goldix freehubs may work as the Goldix 310 hub is said to look very similar to the Yuan An M14 hubs (see pictures). Here is a link to the Goldix hubs if you want to gamble.

I'm wondering what the latest feedback is on FM909 vs FM936, now that both are available with 120mm travel. A couple of years ago, there was a post saying that the 909 wouldn't be as good for downcountry use because of the lower support at mid-stroke.

I've been looking at the Carbonda FM909 and AIRWOLF YFM059 but they both have a shock travel of 100mm, can the frame(s) be over-stroked to 120mm without issue?

Are there any other downcountry/light trail FS chiner frames I should look at? Ideally, I would like space for two water bottles, a fairly slack head angle, a fairly steep seat angle, 630-645 ETT and 120/130mm of travel.
