I know what carbon looks like. This is my 10th frame with a raw carbon finish. I don't think you understood what I meant. This isn't just a regular seam between two carbon plies. When the frames come out of the mold, they're sanded down to remove excess resin and prepare the surface for painting. However, excessive sanding can cut through the top layers of carbon. That’s exactly what happened here at the edge in the middle of the down tube. When you press on it, you can feel that the carbon layer isn’t thick enough here anymore.

They're going to send me another frame. Then I'll have three identical frames here, two of which are broken. What should I do with them? 😅 Does anyone have any craft ideas for the broken frames?

I really like the frame, but unfortunately I think the fork is a little too skinny.

Excellent description—that really nails it when it comes to the riding feel. I feel exactly the same way about steering precision and bottom bracket stiffness. I think the frame’s head tube stiffness is outstanding, in contrast to the bottom bracket.

If I remember correctly, the original Mondince headset bearings were 45/45 on the top and bottom. It should actually be written on the bearing.
