Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Ceccotti RF27

Ceccotti is the brand from manufacturer Sequel Sports. They have no affiliation with Tan Tan. That at least is what they told me. Their DCFR26 frame is produced from the same mold as the Tan Tan TT-X 38 which is why we discussed them in the same thread.

User Frank and me had a few quality issues with our frames which were kind of a red flag for me to not buy from them again. Mine was just cosmetic I believe. But Frank had a steerer tube that was so oval that he had to had it corrected by a carbon repair shop. He also had issues with the saddle clamp not fitting the seatpost correctly so he had to sand it to fit.

The red flag for me was that Sequel did not acknowledge any of these issues but instead they basically said that all their frames are like that.

that's important feedback, thanks!

One downside is the tire clearance limited to 28-30, I would like the option to put on some 35 mm for lighter gravel rides

Do we have any feedback on this frame?
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007443932884.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.152e38da7uObu6&mp=1

I'm on the look for some cheap endurance frame with threaded BB and this ticks a few boxes, but I can't find much information about it around the internet, nor about the brand in general.

With coupons I could get it for around 400€ delivered to Italy, it's really tempting

What do you think?

I have in my cart a Sensah Empire groupset 2x11 (brifters, front and rear derailleurs, cassette, maybe chain depending on the options).
I already have a Riro crankset+chainrings coming, and installed a few weeks ago the Onirii hybrid calipers.

Do you think it would be a good buy, either to upgrade my 2x8 Microshift groupset, or to fit on a new carbon frame that sooner or later I'm gonna buy?
Or would you advise going for the more expensive 12s version?

So do we have any build or review of this frame?

This is really intriguing as a low-cost upgrade to my Triban, I already have carbon wheels and a few other parts that I'd like to carry over.
What groupset would you suggest for such a build?
I recently bought some hybrid calipers from ZRace/Onirii, so it would be nice to have cable pulling levers to make use of those.

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Best TPU tube brand

that's a lot. i run 4,9/5,1 on 28mm Schwalbe one which measure 30mm on the rim and i'm 110kg in system weight.

I will try to ride at a lower pressure, thanks. I'm kind of a cycling newbie and my Decathlon tire sidewall says "minimum 6 bar" so I complied  ;D

It's scary. What pressure was the tire inflated to?

It was around 6-6.2 bar in a 28 mm tire

Yesterday the Thinkrider tube I had in my back wheel just exploded and tore off a stretch of the tire clincher. Looks like the failure started near the valve, the tube probably was around the 1000 km range.
Luckily I was on flat road and not going fast so I could stop with no problems.

Will be trying RideNow or some other brands here recommended now.

Hi, I recently bought a couple of Elitewheels Ent + adapters, as soon as I get my hands on them I can provide pictures and measurements, if that's of any help.

I haven't ridden it as much as I'd hoped for various reasons. Everything has been fine. No brake rub, comfortable (for me) and it bowls along very nicely. I would give the frameset a cautious recommendation as lonf as you're prepared to do the necessary fettling to make sure everything goes together nicely.

Thanks for the feedback, that's encouraging and I'm glad your bike once completed is good! For the moment I resisted the urge (well, I bougth carbon wheels and handlebar for my current bike) but I'll see when the next sales comes on

Right - I've pretty much finished my build and I have to say, it fought back every step of the way...

As I said earlier, it was specced for the hills - hence the dinnnerplate cassette. Despite that and the GRX rear mech it came in at around 7.5kg as pictured (7.9 with SPD pedals, cages and computer mount). I'll do a 20k ride on Thursday or Friday and let you know how it went...

Hi Alan, what's the feedback?

I'm so close to pulling the trigger despite all that's been written here, those Aliexpress coupons are so tempting
