A bit of a random question, but one that would really help me out: I have a frame (size M) on order and I slowly but surely getting all the parts together.

For the brakes/shifters I am thinking of getting some GRX ST-RX820 which come in a "J-Kit" version which come with a pre-cut, pre-filled hydraulic brake line - this would be convenient because I don't have the tools for working on brake lines (yet).

Since I am trying to avoid trimming the brake lines, I'd like to make sure to order the right one - so if anyone has any recommendations for brake line length (especially the rear) please share - thanks!

If i remember correctly there are two options for the rear brake hose. One ultra long for tandems maybe and the other one you should order.
But bear in mind even this break hose is too long. So a cutting tool or super sharp set of pliers should be at hand.
An easy way to get the rough lengh you is to take i.e. a shoestring and work your way from caliper position back to the handlebar.

na, most i've met a inerested in the build, quality and where to get all the parts. And i love the suprised faces when i mention the price at the end.
But i guess most guys in the cycling world have two left hands and are unable to fix a slipping seatpost, so they would never think about building their own bike.
And only the 10k+ guys look down on you, but i laugh with 8k more in my bankaccount, so that's fine for me.

I've purchased some months ago a p515, I wanted to install it today. I experience play in installing the spider, even with fully tightening the lock ring. Is this normal?

nope, that's definitely not normal. I would send that video to the support. They should have a solution which, if i have to guess, is a new crank arm.

Mine was shipped on April 2, and according to 17Track the flight departed on April 8. That’s the latest update I have so far.

On the DPD website, nothing shows up yet, no tracking info at all.

It's quite normal. Especially to Germany and with DPD AND over a weekend. My last frame was booked on a flight on monday and the next update was on thursday. so nothing to worry that much. Wild guess: Your frame will be delivered on thursday a mine was

okay. I just copied the links and didn't check the prices. At least this offer had a hughmous increase in price.
I orderd 1,67 hyperopia with dicounts for 45$, now at 119$ before discounts.

Unless there is complete designchange between the R9 and ER9 - which i doubt - standard Shimano BH59 should work without any problem. No O-ring needed.

i have the same clamp, but i got the srew at the bottom and so far the saddle will only tilt when my 90+ kg ass drops on the nose from a good height.
