These values are pretty much standard across the industry and do not vary much between manufacturers. For the seatpost wedge is 5Nm max, compression plug is 7-8 Nm, headset compression usually tighten it until no play is present and it should not be more than 2-3 Nm, stem bolts 5 Nm. Saddle clamp depending on style 5-10 Nm.

This actually has the perfect geometry for the general population looking for aero frames. For me (with herniated lumbar disk) it will allow to be assembled with no spacers under the stem other than the necessary for size M, I would not have to go a size down to compensate for reach and give me 9 cm saddle to bar drop. Regarding the "slack" headtube, it will by no means steer like a truck. My Hygge (size S, downsized to compensate for reach) has 71 headtube and it is very precise, rails corners and is very stable at speed and the occasional wind gusts yet remains responsive. I do not like a twitchy frame, and this will definitely be not one. With the price being lower than T1550 Gen 2 and not that much heavier, this is a sweet spot for aero high end Chinese frames, if I can say so. It will be a great purchase for Black Friday this November if it gets discounted or bundled with wheelset.

Just a quick note, I learned the hard way that Topeak fly paper glueless patches work really well on TPU tubes. It's been 4 days since I punctured and did a roadside repair with them. Holding very well without losing air more than what is usual for TPU tubes. Just scuff up the puncture site gently to make adhesion better and that's it.

I'm curious about the weight of the frame without the fork/handlebar/seatpost, could you help me ?

This is size dependent, mine in size S with thru axle, front and rear hanger mounted was 1040-1050g and it was not the EPS version. EPS may be slightly lighter.

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Advice for new crankset.
« on: December 11, 2024, 02:28:44 AM »
I only realise now that the crankset is GPX, so I guess this crankset is neither compatible with a BBright bottom bracket nor with an Ultegra FD-R8000 derailleur, what do you think?

https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005008153991818.html?spm=a2g0o.store_pc_home.0.0.32a964f26sgUid&gatewayAdapt=glo2ita
There is no true GXP (22/24 mm spindle) crankset on AliX. When they refer to GXP they mean that the spider interface is 3-bolt SRAM. It has nothing to do with the spindle diameter, which can be 24 or 29mm. If the crankset you will choose has 24 mm spindle and says GXP, it means that the spider interface is 3-bolt. The spindle will fit in your current setup with BBRight for shimano spindle that you are currently using.

Hi guys.

I've received my frame and quality control seems not the best...
Would you accept this?

Got me worried..

I would not stress to much about that. Looks like resin peel from the mold and the fibers look intact, so there should be no issues. You can seal this with some automotive 2k resin (fiberglass resin) and be done with it. I would ride this. It is minimal cosmetic defect and has a low potential of failing catastrophically, in my opinion.

I had to shave down the rear pads to get the brake caliper to fit!

Based on this, I assume you run rim brakes, but the wheel you are discussing is disk brake. Make sure that you are not doing an expensive mistake. Try AceSprint (formerly known as c-razy carbon) they make rim brake full disc wheels as discussed in the proprietary thread on this forum.

Just got an answer which I don't like...
The seatpost is totally proprietary and you won't be able to find a replacement. As for the holder for the radar light, if you have a friend that is good with 3D design, or you personally are handy with this, the holder can be designed and printed easily. Alternatively, search AliX for saddle radar light holder and there are tons of options that will allow you to mount the radar on the saddle rails, which to me looks much better than a strap on to the seatpost.

This is just an example: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002687365308.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.3.5aaf0no10no1oF&algo_pvid=7c7c7808-7f34-43f1-b156-189030e091d0&algo_exp_id=7c7c7808-7f34-43f1-b156-189030e091d0-2&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21EUR%214.77%213.38%21%21%214.88%213.46%21%40212e532617322794092774151e8e39%2112000035214453707%21sea%21MK%210%21ABX&curPageLogUid=s8VnYQe1dJtM&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A

It will allow you to mount the radar anywhere on the saddle rails as it has fully adjustable tilt angle.

I figured out that I had not torqued the compression plug.. I have the new c ring and metal spacers. Is 4-6 nm enough? I have not used carbon paste on the expander plug, which I probably should do.

I have used carbon paste everywhere, on the inside and outside of the steerer, on the expander plug and on the inside of the stem clamping area. Try 2-3 Nm for compression it should be enough and 7-8 for the expander plug. That is what I did after modifying the previous generation C-ring. Plus, apply thread lock on the nut side of the stem bolts, they tended to rattle themselves loose in my case. That was enough to keep things tight for 5000 km of use so far.

thanks for your response. This is not the seatpost wedge. Its another one, much smaller compared to the seatpost wedge,

Maybe it is a seatpost Di2 baterry holder, the wedge-in part. See if it fits inside the seatpost with room to spare for the Di2 battery.

Yesterday i recieved my T1550 Gen 2 Frame. I opted for the 520 with the longest stem available (125mm). Lets see how this fit works for me! Overall i like the quality of the frame, paint and frame accesories. Speaking of which: in the frame accesories box was this little wedge. Do you know what it's for? I never had this in my previous builds.

Looks like the seatpost wedge, pretty crucial part of the build.

Hey all, have been a bit of a lurker but decided to join to ask some questions proper. Recently I've been looking at Kocevlo integrated handlebars (specifically, https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006561735597.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.13.36045e3dEFnH63&algo_pvid=0e683c72-8a15-4ee0-9d19-865e363905b4&algo_exp_id=0e683c72-8a15-4ee0-9d19-865e363905b4-6&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21GBP%21119.44%2153.95%21%21%211075.08%21485.62%21%40210390c917296377002728725e1c75%2112000037679359616%21sea%21UK%210%21ABX&curPageLogUid=0vZEiUP2JIth&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A#nav-review)

I've found limited information here and there so I was hoping this thread would attract all those with experiences to give their two cents - whether about the Kocevlo specifically, or about the other 'brands' of the same bar that bear the same shape (and likely come from the same manufacturer, eg, Hygge (?)).

To be clear, I'm only looking at this purely for fun - I don't race, nor do I do super long rides, but I like the look of the bars and I'm interested in the experience of fitting on new bars. £50 or so is a price I'm willing to swallow for this - if I were going to upgrade a 'proper' bike, I'd go for The One Pro handlebars or something equivalent. My bike (a B'Twin 520) is currently set up with external cables, which I'll route into the handlebars. I'll also be getting a torque wrench to properly torque this down. Not sure if I'll need carbon paste.

Grateful for any thoughts on the Kocevlo's I'm looking at, or Kocevlos in general, or other 'brands' of the same bar - or, if you have experience, tips for installing the bars on myself. Thank you so much!

This is the same handlebar that Hygge are supplying with their frames, and recently started selling it as a handlebar only option. It is the same price as this from Kocevlo but it comes with aluminium spacers, so they will not compress.

I don't know if it comes with the headset compression ring, but I'm sure that they will include it if you ask. I have the bars, with the frame and they are pretty stiff.

This one fits. I just installed it BUT you will need to take the Dremel to the frame and the hanger...
The new hanger does not fit in the original space because there is a little too much carbon (see pic). I decided to take the risk and ground it away with my Dremel until it fit.
Second problem is that the outer part of the hanger will not fit in the hole of the new hanger. The hole is a tiny fraction to small. So again I took the Dremel and enlarged it by a fraction of a mm until both parts fitted. I did have to adjust the B-screw to increase the gap between upper pulley and lagest cog.

I would probably not touch the frame... Not worth in my mind to mess with something that isn't broken. If it was a straight swap then yes, would consider it an upgrade (although I doubt that it affects shifting as much), but altering a perfectly working system I cannot justify to myself if something goes wrong. This goes straight to my spare parts bin.

Build 8/2024

Frameset: 52CM Replica frame (685 grams) came with fork (345 grams), seatpost, 1 piece handlebar (no mounts), der. hangers, headset accessories

It even comes with the "Peel Me" sticker with SN# near the bottom bracket that comes on genuine S**d frames. It makes you wonder who would go to such extent to mirror every little detail. I've seen a total of 4 replica frames throughout the years, 2 of which I built for a friend, and none had this level of detail. Smooth on the inside but no SN# and stuff like that. Happy riding!
