Source: I have a pair in Spexcel bib tights - decent for an outdoor training ride under 40mi but not as comfortable as a legitimate pad. EI must've sent cease and desists because most of the bigger Ali brands aren't doing fake EI pads anymore, with some using legit EI pads and some shifting to mediocre alternative pads (i.e. Spexcel). I'd recommend bib shorts with legit EI pads.
Awesome will have to go with another brand instead. Thank you!

Depending on what you want to use for powering or recharging lights, 6V dynamo hubs are the standard these days. This means you can charge up battery banks or devices using 5V USB systems. Based on this, I have purchased a couple of 12V lights that require remote batteries. but the batteries can be charged by 5V USB cables.
M3 and M5 models. (M5 is almost too much light, and is best on long high speed descents.) - So bright that it creates too many shadows behind objects in front of you, that at times messes with my eyes when I look away to the side.

Bibs; seem made very well. Material seems a bit thicker than YKYW, Darevie bibs. The legs are long! I’m 5’5” 125lbs and the smallest size fits like a glove. The ad shows a legit IE pad, in person it looks like a cheap knockoff. I rode about 90 minutes on the trainer with it. It’s not a EI from the photos, but it’s not offensive.
The jersey. I’m impressed. Smallest size fits great, the gripper material on the waist and arms is very nice. Collar isn’t obnoxiously tall old school. Material is nice and stretchy. I ordered white, it’s obviously a little see through. I’ll definitely order the black next time.
Here’s a photo of the BCBE bibs next to some YKYW bibs. Both advertised as the EI Paris chamois. The dark grey of the YKYW matches the ad photos. The lighter colored chamois of the BCBE is a bit less dense.
I also had some EI Paris blue ones (different brand) and they were thick, when I ordered YKYW. They came grey and were a lot thinner, so maybe the grey ones are thinner now? However as you mentioned, they are advertised as EI also BCBE has a little EI logo tag on their shorts just like YKYW on the ads. If they are real, that would be the best price but I guess I will wait until more people comment about them.

« on: January 16, 2026, 01:26:25 PM »I've got Thinkrider X2Max and Magene PES-P515 spider based powermeter, and X2Max always shows about 10% higher power. Both devices were calibrated many times, which doesn't help. Is it possible to adjust the X2Max readings somehow? I can't find such option in the Thinkrider Tools app. It's possible to tweak the Magene instead but I believe its readings more.
The only app I know that can do is QZ App, I never tried it but I did ask the owner and he said it should work. You can always refund if the app doesn’t up working.

« on: November 03, 2025, 06:24:39 PM »I don't know how you guys manage to get it so cheap to your country, shipped to Canada even with coupons is 950CAD and that's probably before import duties, which at this point is more expensive than say a jetblack victory or a kickr core, and with lot less proven mileage...
Prices vary country to country, for Canada you are better off getting new lower end garmin trainer price wise, but if you really want a good deal, you need to look at the used market. Sometimes they jack the price since they don't want it to be shipped to that country.

« on: October 28, 2025, 07:05:30 PM »I have the XX pro, and it's solid and good. Haven't tried the cycplus, but their app seems a lot better integrated. The thinkrider app is completly useless as far as I can see. No idea how to calibrate it or anything.
If they were the same price I'd pic the cycplus, you rarely go above 19% climbs and 2.2k watts are probably plenty
I use the thinkrider app all the time, and re calibrate before each ride. It is called thinkrider tools, I click on raceration calibration > selection device and once I click on my device I go back and click again on raceration calibration. (no device can be connected to your trainer tho, otherwise it won't detect your trainer)
However, I would stay away from XXprO because appareantly it slips or there was a russian video about it so I just bought thinkrider x2 max which was $230, but Cycplus r200 looks way better tho, so you should go with that.

« on: October 26, 2025, 10:15:47 PM »I received my 10000 lumen light bar this week. This light is nuts. It makes my 1600 lumen projection bike light look like a blinky light. I wanted something for bike camping in the desert. This sucker is a bit heavy and it gets a bit hot to the touch. Hopefully it doesn't spontaneously catch on fire!
let us know how long battery lasts and how you mounted it!

Mywhoosh and zwift, at the time I didn’t not see r200, and other units didn’t accept hub boosting that’s why I got this one. The accuracy is very good to my XCADEY power meter which I tested with h3 Harris in the past.
The only problem I have with it, is that when calibrating it, it cannot be connected to another device otherwise it will not show up on their app. Also if your unit is inaccurate, this model cannot be adjusted with their app. So you would have to use another app, but I don’t have this problem.

The seatpost is a copy of some, I’ve seen someone else use a similar design in real life. Didn’t realize that the copy was new, but might be a good replacement for the Ergon/canyon suspension seatpost.
