I think the propel cages match the frame better. I actually put them on all my drop bar bikes because of you (all pinarello clones (2x Dogma F, 1x Grevil F). I got the AirTag version for the down tube.
the bontrager cages solve my trouble with the bottle cage on that seattube also the propel cages when there's a bump, my bottles on that downtube fly away too ;D

my bike still the same from the initial set-up except that cages, the top headset spacer, and alloy bike computer mount combo for headlight by Ullycic... according to my strava, clock 3800kms already... thats good enough...

The main thing is that the bike pleases its owner :). And then, tastes and colors are subjective ;).
you're right... as they said, to each his own...
mybike, myride...

Can you share your parts list?

Winow FM236
Ltwoo R9
evosid crankset 165mm
sunshine superlight cog
YBN chain
zrace brake disc
superteam wheelset
ultrasport tire
cylami TPU
cheap handlebar tape (prologo)
giant-like bottle cage
mixed 7D saddle

issues on my build;
1. handlebar routing since it was narrow compared to other handlebars, it takes time for me to figure out how to route using lead cables ;)
2. crankset width that will end you up using spacers which means the spindle is quite long unlike the usual length of shimano or magene... the Q-factor is wider than my other bikes...
3. lastly, the headset bearing is quite deep leaving the cap scraping on the frame, i end-up putting some micro-spacers(1mm) between the cap & bearing guide to lift the cap a bit to avoid scraping the frame...

rest is fine... need to ride more and longer...

using Cyclami 26g 60mm metal-presta valve here...
positive experience with it... tire is ultrasport25c and runs more than 4600kms never replace and lucky without any puncture... i just need to pump once a week to 6bar and i can ride for 3-4consecutive days...
my other set with tire of kenda28c max 80psi and same need to pump once a week...

negative experience... all from my kenda28c set
got 1leak on the valve as i tighten much the nut...
got 1blown up due to the weak rim tape
got 1puncture and put a patch but not used until now, just my reserve...

still my go to tube brand since it has metal valve which i think it will last longer than the plastic valves...

After almost six months of riding my Chinarello for over 1,600 km without any issues...

I made a couple of changes.
I replaced the brake rotor with an MT800 and the pads with L05A because the Zrace set was squeaking. I’m not sure if the noise was coming from the rotor or the pads.
I also swapped the bottle cage for a Bontrager copy instead of the Propel copy. The seat tube bottle was hitting the down tube, but the Bontrager cage resolves that issue.

I hope to ride for another 5,000 km in 2025!

Hi Guys...

Just got another crazy build to start  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Does anyone have experience with this exact frame model? It seems to be of better quality than my previous build. I’m waiting for my 105 SS Mech to arrive, and I’m eager to see if this frame meets my expectations.

Also, the matte finish really shows every fingerprint!;D ;D ;D

If we believe my cheap scale, the frameset weight is... 2.30kg

handlebar = 0.382
seatpost (with metal mounts)= 0.197
fork (with TA + base spacer)= 0.41
frame (with TA, head bearings, derailleur mounts)=1.25
accessories  = 0.14

total weight = 2.38 (my cheap scale hides 0.08kg)  ;D ;D ;D

my estimated weight will be around 7.73kg (with superteam 50mm wheels)

just to update...
log around thousand kms already(but only +700kms on my c606 the rest on my bc107...

able to ride my first grand fondo with this build... im dead  ;D ;D ;D

my update with my builds...
to remove my doubts on my headset, i bought spacer set to add 10mm to create enough space between top cap and the expander plug...

My TPU blew while in the garage due to the weak PVC rim tape I bought! I always inflate to 80 PSI before riding. I’m not sure if my pump meter is broken, but luckily it didn’t happen during my gran fondo.
so now, i replace even the rear wheel with a rim tape for tubeless that comes along with the rim, i hope it will not be like the pvc tape.

uhhh my STI nameplate on the left side was gone... waiting for this replacement come and ride again...

here's my old bike... just to have a reference on the "ride feel" difference...

power meter is the same as i only transfer from old to new build.. 2watts better on the new bike...
the speed is a bit doubtful on the new bike as i only refer on the GPS speedo of the computer while the old one uses some wheel speed sensor...
both ride uses the same computer...

the big difference is the "ride feel" against the old bike...

14
I wish and hope that my build will last a thousand miles...

I already tried my build on some climbs(june 7th) on which i said it is more stiff than my old bike...

my power and speed on the new bike is better than my old...
i dont know maybe i am more excited to ride the new one ;D ;D ;D ;D

15
sweat ride today...

adjusted the headset as i feel there's a gap/play... tightened and seems okay now...
