the XL is in line with canyon's XL sizing. I ordered it and I'm 6'5/195cm I was riding a 61cm diverge which has a shorter stack and reach. I think it'd be hard for them to justify having that mold for the few people that can fit 2XL.

Well, regarding the fact that there are basically zero halfway current chinese frames in that size, I think offering one could actually fill a gap and might just sell better than initially expected.
I am 197cm with 95cm inseam and probaly could do with the XL aswell, but having the choice would be nice.  ;)

G068 has completed sample manufacturing and testing. Size S M L will be released in early June. size XS XL will be released in late June.

Will you do XXL/2XL at any point?

Their QC doesn't seem to be much better than Ltwoo, really, so not a huge advantage over Ltwoo really at that price.
The advantage is neither pricing nor QC, it is compatibility with basically any cassette no matter the gears and "AXS-style-shifting-with-easy-to-bleed-non-DOT-brakes"
Something you neither get from LTWOO, nor Shimano, nor SRAM, nor anybody else.
This obviously doesnt mean QC isnt important, but GeX brings much more -at least on paper- than "just another cheapish alternative only worth considering when not able/willing to pay for big brand"

But in reality, it does and people are concerned about the possibility. Shimano's Di2 approach (and the LTWOO eGR) handles this with a large battery so it's really unlikely you will wear it out while in use.
In reality it acutally turns out to be the other way around... if starting full, both systems a very unlikey to run out during a ride, but a small battery you routinely charge at the end of each day/ride is much less likely to be forgotten / not charged in comparison to a very large battery where charging is only required once every few month or so.
I basically never forget to charge my smartphone over night, connecting it when going asleep is a routine like tooth brushing.
But I actually tend to regularly forget charging/changing batteries on my digital scale, tv remote, wallclock, etc. just because of their long run times.

And more significantly, you forfeit the reassurance of being able to carry a spare. With AXS, I can easily keep a spare in my pack or swap batteries on a 2x if I run out while riding.
Or in other words: with AXS you need an expensive seperate proprietary battery in your pack (which then can only be used for your AXS derailleur) while with GeX you could just use the same cheap and widely available USB powerbank which you are very likely to carry in your pack anyways (because it is used for your bike computer, bike lights, smartphone, etc.) plus a probably cheapish and very light/small cable.

I wonder why I never see videos on this forum? Switched abdlock off and nothing changed so it wasnt it. Anyone has a solution?
Got the same issue aswell on this forum
Edited the youtube link above so you can c&p it in a browser, remove the spaces and watch it

The same could be said for any Chinese groupset so far ;D
Probably true ;)

But jokes aside: so far the main argument for chinese groupsets has been pricing… and while the EDS GeX is still a little cheaper than compareable SRAM/Shimano sets, I think its main argument is innovation/compatibilty/interoperability
Being able to run different speed cassettes, fiddeling around with jumps for every single sproket and combining SRAMs (superior) AXS shifting logic with Shimanos (superior) breaking are standout features you just cannot get from the big brands.

Another video which I think hasnt been posted
https://www. youtube. com/watch?v=6Xm4Gajv9c8

On paper this looks really nice:
fully wireless SRAM-style derailleur
hydraulic oil Shimano-compatible braking
shifting logic can be set as either Shimano- or SRAM-style within the app
compatible with basically any cassette no matter the gear count, even futureproof with 14 aswell

With good QC/longevity this could potentially be the best 1by groupset to date

@gloscherrybomb & @trcycling

Thanks for you answers.
I am currently not in need of a new groupset, just checking options as my next upgrade will prolly be electronic with SRAMs eTap-shiftlogic.

Hopefully Sensah will be offering something the like with their new electronic groupset which I heard is in the making... they have been more-SRAM-than-Shimano-like in the past anyways.  ;)
If they just "copy" the APEX/Rival AXS but with hydraulic oil brakes (instead of DOT) and a derailleur battery pack which uses some standard batteries (like 18650) instead of the proprietary stuff, I think that would be an absolute winner of a groupset.

Quoting myself here but may be interesting for others (albeit being offtopic in regards to LTWOO eGR)

The new Wheeltop GEX offers a fully wireless rear derailleur (compareable to SRAM) with hydraulic oil disc brakes (fully Shimano-compatible... you could even use original Shimano brakes) and the shifting-logic can be programmed either way (SRAM-style one side up, the other side down or Shimano-style both up and down on the right hand side) inside the app. The battery pack is proprietary but atleast can be exchanged (according to the manual).
It is also said to be fully compatible with basically all 3 to 14 speed cassettes which is a very nice addition because it lets you save money on using cheap 11spd cassettes now but also stay compatible/future proof on 12 & 13 speed when those become cheaper in the future.

Perhaps anybody actually owning this groupset can answer the following question:

At the end of the Trace Velo review of the prototype eGR, Luke mentions, that the default shifting configuration is on the two shifting levers on the right hand side (one for up, one for down - classic shimano-style) but it also can be changed within the app to be on the left hand side aswell.
Is it also possibly to configure it as SRAM-eTap-style shifting, so lever on the right hand side does upshifting, lever on the left hand side does downshifting (or the other way round)?

I've been looking at ordering from Yuan An, but wasn't able to find a rim that I was really interested in.
I'm looking for 50-60mm deep and 30-32mm wide. For road use, I'd like a wider rim to run 32mm tires on. Lightbicycle seems to have some nice suitable options!

YHG54-04D is 54mm deep, 31mm outer width, 24mm inner width, hooked
YHG54-04S is 54mm deep, 31mm outer width, 24mm inner width, hookless

It is the same rim as on my wheelset but 44mm deep (YHG44-04D), feel free to check the pictures above

Cool story bro, but only waste of time is replying to you so I'll do it last time.
Wasting your own time seems like a dedicated hobby of you, so I didnt expect else... your next reply will surely be the very last time, right?  ;D

You are [...] new to Chinese market.
Because my registration date on some random forum is only a few weeks old? Tahts teh logiks!!!!  :o

I've made few orders from Leon in the past and communication and delivery time was always fast.
To quote your words: "Cool story bro"

But things changed recently which raised questions which where valid as others had similar problem.
Yes, someone leaving a company is obviously a change - glad that you found out yourself!
You didnt raise questions... you were blaming, accusing, name calling - completely overreacting about an absolut trivial occurrence: an employee leaving a company and therefore stops replying to customers of that company

The fact that u agree to be treated badly and have low expectations does not mean everyone want the same.
I wasnt treated badly - you repeatly claming otherwise doesnt change that fact  ::)
My expectations were obviously realistic - just in contrast to yours, because the obvious reason you are crying here is your unmet expecatation of Leon being your personal carebear even after he left the company you ordered from.

You may not understand it, but you have to swallow it
You again seem to confuse stuff - As I said: I got a tracking number and the wheelset just arrived today (which was like 4 days later than what I was told before ordering and which is absolutely reasonable for anybody not being a pathetic bean counter)
So the only person failing to understand but still having to swallow (as none of your fuzz on this thread changes anything about it) is obviously you  8)

I think highwind is trying to normalize bad customer service to convince himself that things will work out in the end.
I think Takiyaki has some serious issues with reading comprehension because neither did highwind write he experienced bad customer service (quite the contrary, as his requests were all answered within absolutey reasonable periods of time especially given the timezone difference between Europe and China) nor does he need to "convince hisself" of things working out at the end, because he got a working tracking number and just receiveed his nice new wheelset exactly as ordered  8)

Thanks Leon / Yuananbike! Good communiation, good product, great pricing, very minior delay - 9/10  ;)

yeah seems like the whole ordeal with Leon didn’t end too well. Hasn’t actually placed orders.
I wonder if he just didn’t do that or whether he also funneled the payments.

Anyways, let’s see how this goes on.

Cannot confirm this:

I contacted Leon via company email (sales@yuananbike.com) and finally ordered on 30th of July and, altough I told him I got some issue with my Paypal and probably wont be able to pay before the end of the week (1st / 2nd August), he nevertheless said he placed that order because his discount promotion ended 31th July (and according to him the pricing would have changed if he waited).
For Paypal payment he told me to use "xiamenyuanan@foxmail.com" (which is the same adress as on their website https://www.yuananbike.com/delivery/payment) and that I can use F&F friends option or have to add some % if I use regular payment.
I finally payed on 1st of August using the F&F option.

On 22th of August I asked him (using "reply" on the same company email we used for communication before) about the status of my order.
He replied within a day or two, telling me that it is still in production but not giving any ETA or further information (which was fine for me as I dont expect a chinese OEM to do any carebaby-customer-service or be espacially tight on single-order delivering times)

Yesterday -after reading in this thread that Leon probably left the company- I contacted Yuanan through their contact form on their website, asking about the status of my order number.
Today I got this reply (from marketing@yuanbike.com):
Hello highwind,
This is Kelly from Yuan an bike. Leon has left our company .
Your goods have been sent out on Aug, 30th.
The tracking number is 123456789YXZ
Here's tracking link :  https://t.17track.net/en#nums=whatever
Thanks&Best Regards
Kelly Lee  (ODM SALES MANAGER)

Tracking is working and says it just arrived in Germany today with DPD being the carrier (which is also what Leon and I agreed upon while ordering).
So 10/10 for Leons and Yuanans credibility from my side.

I did order mine on 24th of July, then it was produced by 15th of August then a long time no messages from Leon even on request. Shippping confirmation I got on 30th August seeing it's been shipped on 25th, now awaiting delivery.
Maybe tomorrow.
YAG45-04 UNI or something like that. Guess we two texted on mydealz too on the Campagnolo thread.

Ah, I see - "Servus and danke für die Info!" ;)
With my order being placed some days after yours and then also arriving some days after yours, their production lead times seem very constant - which is good to know for the future.

Also shit that u r writing and agreeing on just shows how low standard person u are, don't expect it from others. Justifying lying, horrible customer service and "scam looking" practices only helps those who wanna represent low standards. No one is expecting babysitting customer service here u are talking bullshit.

You seem to confuse me justifying stuff with me naming facts  ::)

But hey, its not my unrealistic expactations shattered, but those of you "wannabe-high-standard"-fantasizer... and if alternating between rage, denial and insulting / calling me names makes facing reality more bearable for you, then be it.
At the end of the day my expectations (as the low standard person you call me) got me a nice carbon wheelset for less than 500 bucks while your expectations (as whatever you tell yourself you are) got you nothing but some hassle, wasted time and effort :-*

Mine reached Germany too.

Mind telling me which wheelset you ordered and when you did the payment?
I am from Germany aswell, payed over 5 weeks ago for a YHG44-04D wheelset and still waiting for tracking number / delivery confirmation... not especially worried, just curious.

I was ordering wheels before and know the process. But there is more here then just time my friend. First of all made an agreement with Leon for express production and shipping to have wheels for event in Alps. After the payment he started ghosting me. I asked few things which took him few days to answer. Never happened before. When I started asking about the wheel status he stopped replying for over a week and it happened few times. He send a copy paste formula 2 times that wheels are in production. Then after over 4 weeks he said that they don't have carbon spokes to build the wheels. I demanded refund which he refused, but after saying that it will hurts the reputation he said he will make REFUND and disappeared again.

So yeah mate if someone is lying for weeks that they building wheels just to later say that they don't have parts. And then agrees to refund and stops replying for almost 2 weeks and counting, there is nothing to relax imo. This is not normal mate, we are not talking about longer then usual order. Don't mix those things up.

It is totally normal for chinese business, especially with OEM business...
cancelling an order while production of your specific item already startet (so the company already put worktime and material in it) and demanding a refund just because of some delay is something a reasonable person would totally NOT expect from a chinese OEM.
Is your alleged "agreement" for express production printed on the the invoice? If not, it does not exist!
Chinese mentality is to put 200% effort on "sealing-the-deal"-communication (because this earns them acutal money) and then 5% effort on "deal-is-already-done"-communication (because this doesnt earn actual money).
Chinese mentality on unpleasant questions is to give nice and friendly sounding answers, not the (unpleasant) truth.

If you mind this stuff, go to Amazon or the like and pay a 100+% premium for in time express delivery, guranteed refundability and/or babysitting customer service...

Was there any incentive to buying from Leon instead of brand stores on Aliexpress? In my case I was quoted $495 + fees shipped for 50mm deep 1490~ grams rim brake wheelset.
On Aliexpress, if you time your purchase right you can score Elitewheels Edge 1290-1300 grams 50mm deep wheels for 500 ish (using coupons) and you get at least some customer support + in the worst case PayPal backup.

For me there definitely was (better pricing and better/more options…)

I was quoted $475 (shipping/tax included) for a 44mm deep / 31 (outer) wide wheelset with RD13 XDR hub and Pillar AERO1423. Total weight was said to be 1480g (+/- 30).
Aliexpress didnt even come close - either much more expensive or slightly more expensive for higher weight and non-ratchet hubs.
Also Leon / Yuanan had several positive feedbacks on chinertown and reddit.

And Paypal „backup“ is usually a complete joke anyways - you are better of paying with CC and doing a chargeback when things go bad.

14
Let me know when you get them :) Which option did you choose?

YHG44- 04D Ultralight Version (44mm height, 31mm outerwidth / 24mm innerwidth) in UD matte, tubeless/clincher, RD13 (36t ratchet) with XDR freehub, Pillar AERO 1423 spokes

I think they are probably the same as what Nextie sells as their ARX wheelset

Still no shipping confirmation / tracking number, though  :-\

@highwind  How do you like the CSC wheels?
