Component Deals & Selection / Re: Magene P505 PES Base Spider Powermeter
« on: November 13, 2024, 09:34:36 PM »
Anyone know if passquest chainring is compatible with SRAM 12 speed AXS flat top chains? I just bought the p505 PES and matched with with a chainring from ali.

After reading around, it seems there might be an incompatibility with flat top chains? Wonder if anyone has first hand experience on how to mix all of this together.

Anyone have fitted a Magene P505 crank to this frame?

I see here they specifically say "Not Support T47-86.5mm and BB386 bottom bracket !" - anyone know why?

Example this one I assume will fit into the G068 and then a Magene P505 stock should fit?

Looking into this as well. I'm interested in getting P505 for my G068 as well.Saw in the P505 thread that it works with G056 though with very small clearance.

Wonder if anyone has ever tried with G068?

I'm around 178cm. After comparing the geometry with my existing bikes, i think i'm going to go with size S.

Anyone have a recommended gravel integrated handlebar? preferably those available in aliexpress.

There's a brand called kactus in aliexpress. They have a T47 for SRAM Dub. I just bought one and still waiting for it to arrive.

Overall, would you recommend the G068 vs G056?

The geometry seems to be comparatively more upright vs G056

I'm reading through the posts in this forum as well. The Spcycle G056 looks very interesting. It's much cheaper vs Ican.

Do you guys think it's a better option vs buying X-Gravel 2?

I'm in the same boat as you as well. Currently considering a few options for road/gravel.
  • Winspace G2
  • Ican Graro
  • Ican X-Gravel 2

Currently leaning towards X-Gravel 2 due to the price & overall simpler setup vs Graro/G2. However, the Graro does look nice & has UDH built in as well.
The only downside for me is it's aero seatpost. Wonder if my concern with its proprietary aero seatpost is overblown?
