I would avoid these to my disappointment. I got a pair recently, that looked like the 2024 new version, and there was only one sealed bearing to be found when I took the axle out. Even worse, the place closest to the crank where you expect a bearing to be, maybe a needle bearing, was just a piece of plastic. On further inspection of the Ali reviews, there is someone mentioning it too. It's not very aspiring for longevity.

I sent them back and received a refund. I wish it was otherwise.

How long between hot waxes were needed in your climate? I use silica hot wax and reapply every 350km. Also use squirt every 120 km or so. I wished I had my big bottle of squirt finished, because it becomes gunky.

If Red gets about 3 times the mileage, it might jusitfy the premium too.

I also used off brand barbs and olives with succes on 105 mechanical. I don't notice any difference in breaking control and the cable has been good for over 2 years now.

Now knowing how infrequent I interchange cables, I think I would have opted for original Shimano instead. But yeah, I now have a small stock of off brands.
