Sounds like they forgot to ship you the metal bits indeed. It would make sense to have 1 bolt on 1 side, and a sleeve on the other to receive the bolt thread. Usually it's 2 different allen key sizes. Peter is OEM, which means they make the carbon bits, but they obviously order the metal bits from someone (a wheel relies on lots of suppliers with hubs, spokes, nipples, bearings..., a handlebar on fewer), which also means someone has to remember to add them in the box...
Given how safety critical that it, unless you live near a hardware shop that happens to have all the sleeves in the universe (or unless Peter gives you exactly the spec of the sleeve - sourcing the bolt is easy in comparison), i would wait.
If you install the wrong stuff, you might 1. crack the carbon in that area and 2. crash.
Shit happens, unfortunately. The West shipped all our manufacturing to China, now good luck finding hardware like that at the drop of a hat.

I haven't seen a lot of discussion on here about Zen carbon cranks. Specifically, BC03 cranks with 24mm Titanium spindle that come out to 300g. These chinese cranks (Cybrei, Elilee, Leese, Bigrock, etc) all look very similar so I suspect they're made from an open mould design and probably in the same factory. But searching around I couldn't find any that are 300g. Only Zen seems to be offering these and all the other brands seem to bottom out at 310g for this design. Anyways, I've gone ahead and order a pair. Was quoted $290 shipped to the US. Will report back once I receive them.

what a shame on their part! Usually an up-and-comer would offer way more good will to attract new customers.  In a sense, I feel that they should really be paying us to try out their product cause we are like doing R&D testing for them. 

for your problem, I think there it can only have two possibilities:  1) some corrosion happening at the electrical contact at the actuator switch contact surface (actuated by the two paddle buttons) and somehow shorted two electrodes;    2) or some plastic broke at that location causing some mechanical linkage to always mechanically actuating one electrical contact.      that being said, it seems extremely difficult to teardown the shifter paddles to check on this. I went to my GeX and looked inside, looks impossible to dissemble without breaking stuffs.

Replacing both shifter batteries (3.3 V)
Updating the firmware
Re-pairing the shifters
Resetting the system
Resetting and testing the button assignments several times

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Maybe someone has experienced a similar problem or knows whether the shifter can be reset/relearned separately, or whether this sounds more like a hardware failure?

Yishun just released a new frame called R070D.

Looks interesting to me as it can clear 35C tires and STA is 74 on my size (M). They claim that it has progressive geometry.

This is getting less and less interesting because of those AI photos lol. That is not a real frame.

Some users here are correct. If this is indeed getting released in November and there's still no actual frames then this is not inspiring at all even if the design and geometry is interesting.

Put in an order with Jack last week after a year of no riding since my CWind GT30 was stolen, looking forward to a new build! Originally ordered the FM336 but swapped to FM326 after wanting more relaxed/bikepacking orientated geo, hence the mockup paintjob being the FM336.

$1400 NZD ($817 USD) for frame+handlebars+seatpost+paint+shipping to NZ. I asked Jack if they would also paint the handlebar (wanted to paint stem but he said it's integrated) and seatpost and he said they could. Never had a painted seatpost or handlebar so curious to see how it goes, guessing I'll just sand down the post so it fits into the frame.

Jack didn't mention anything about fork selection so I assume 420 is the default?

The picture this paints is that the actual product doesn't yet exist and all they have are the cad models and lazy AI renditions based on it. Couldn't even be bothered to make a real 3D render with the model they already have. If it's indeed supposed to go on sale in november, that's a very short time frame to produce prototypes, test them and refine the layup and solve any potential issues, let alone do any real world durability and ride quality testing.

Agreed and they ignore the STA. The Ridley Noah Fast has 399mm reach in XS but an STA of 76 degree. A steeper STA leads to the reach number getting higher without the effective reach getting longer.
And if you’ve long torso/short legs these ‘aggressive’ geometries aren’t aggressive.
Anyways will the eSTA seems to be quite high on this frame at least in S, the question is just how long you can extend the Seatpost
