Just joining now as Im starting research for a 29er Hardtail build for later this year.  Just saw the wheel drawing so decided Id try and get in on that to help my build.

Oh well to late for the drawing

Anyway,  think Im planning an IP-057, with new Shimano XTR 1x11.  Probably run full rigid to start, then track down a suspension fork.

Day late and a dollar short, eh? Hah.. Yeah, that sucks man.. don't worry, we have an even bigger promo/contest coming up, and it will only for longer term members, so don't feel late to this one, feel early for the next one.  8)

An xtr 1x11 fully rigid - 057 frame set-up sounds just about perfect to me. I'd like to have something like that, and then have a fully decked out full suss as well. That's the plan, actually.

What's your wheel set-up?

Currently just running stock WTB Frequency i23's on my heavy Santa Cruz TallBoy LT.   This bike is great for longer casual or rocky rides, but not very fast when the trail is flat and pointing uphill.

Almost bought some i23s instead of my Sun Ringles.. You porting them over to the 057, or going for the carbon wheel set?

When I do the Carbon bike I'll be getting some carbon rims to go with it!  Will have both bikes functional, that and axles will be different, current wheels are 20mm up front and standard quick release in the back.  New bike will end up 15mm up front and 12mm in back.

Congrats Patrick C!  Thank you everyone for signing up on the forum and playing.  I really can't take any of the credit, it was all SN's idea.

The video was a nice idea, love the wheel of misfortune!
