Aftermarket Shimano brake pads

Has anyone tried using some of the aftermarket brake pads for Shimano brakes that have fins on them and what has been your experience? These are intended as L03A replacements

I've been using these finless SOOCENT ceramic pads so far and they're ok but looking to try something new

I have some SOOCENT pads on my gravel and mountain bikes. They are just OK. They don't feel as strong as the Shimano organic pads that they replaced, and they are noisier.


I might try Gorilla Pads next time. They're a bit pricier (especially with shipping from the UK) but I've heard good things about them.

Not what you asked but...
For Shimano brakes I much prefer Shimano branded metallic pads. They're still kind of pricey but not terrible if you shop around (Amazon). The metallic pads last practically forever so they kind of pay for themselves in a sense. I've seen people blow through various new organic pads in nasty gravel races. I'm not sure why the durability of metallic pads isn't more well known.

No experience with the finned pads. However, the Kingstop pads have worked well with several different calipers that I tried them on.

I have used the soocent ceramic pads and they work well. I'm comparing them against discobrakes ceramic which are great, but I'll know more through winter
