What cranks are you using on your carbon singlespeeds?

Hello,

I have an IP-056 on the way.  Thanks for the help here coming to that conclusion.

I'll be slotting in a Beer components EBB(when they are available next year.)

My last purchase to make is a set of GPX or Hollowtech (basically 24mm spindle) cranks.  I like the idea of X01 Carbon, but wonder if durability and/or stiffness will be an issue.  This will be a singlespeed, so 175mm crank arms, and lot's of out-of-the saddle pounding.

Alternatively, I could just go with XT or X01 aluminum cranks.  Would save a bit of money, gain a marginal bit of weight, but might be overall a better plan.

As for SRAM, I'm baulking a bit at the high cost of a chain ring, though I suppose I only really need to buy one.

Pleading for advice here.  Can't seem to make good sense.  Perhaps there's some real trail riding experience that can be shared?

Cheers

I would think any cranks would work well - I've seen all types of cranks used on singlespeeds with no more problems than on geared bikes.
