Recommendations for cockpit parts
« on: November 03, 2020, 08:55:10 AM »
I'm "refreshing" my road bike with new bars (38cm -- more difficult to find), seat post and saddle, and am looking for recs on any or all of these parts. Carbonda, which I've seen positive reviews of elsewhere on this forum, does a nice 38cm road drop bar and seat post. Flyxii has a variety of different saddles and seat posts, although there seems to be more variability in component quality and/or delivery, to judge by Ali reviews.

Does anyone have other recs?

For seatpost Elita One are great and light:

For handlebars and bars OG-Evkin:

A stem maybe, then the Kalloy Uno:

The saddle are more personal:
I did ride for years on a Gub 1156, which has the design similar to a Selle SMP.
Like drugs in a city, if you look around and ask you'll find them on Ali ;)

And last year I switched to something more radical, I love it.
Very comfortable even on ultra-long rides.

+1 on og-evkin: very happy with the HB-002. I’ve used it for a year now without issues.
Also really like my kalloy uno 7 stem (bought more recently for my gravel bike). Super light, great finish and looks very nice IMO.

Oh, I forgot to add I’d also recommend RXL SL: I have two carbon seat posts from them, a fork and a saddle. So far so good (over the past year).

Clone enve bar and stems are available. What I like about them is that they flare out at the drops. I think you can get a 35cm bar at the hoods which is 40cm at the drops. Bar and stem combo also comes with a really nice computer mount. Search "aero stem" and they should come up.

Did you go to a particular vendor or shop, or just search on AliExpress?

I haven't used this exact set up but it looks really nice.

I've been looking at this saddle. It seems like it might fit well, but the pictures are unclear about fore-aft curve. Could you please take a side profile picture of that saddle, Carbonazza, and post it here? None of the seller photos or buyer photos show the side profile. It looks like it curves up at the rear but is flat at the front.

Here is a side picture:

Cheers mate. It curves up in the rear half much more than I thought. You just saved me $24.
