Opinions on 25% Bike Tariffs?

Just received an email from bikes direct talking about the tariffs that will be directly and drastically affecting bike and bike component prices.

Regardless of your political views, how do you guys think these tariffs will affect the industry? Curious to hear opinions on the matter.

Really wishing I would've stocked up on chiner frames to resell now lol.

When it says "eBikes" in that article, does that mean electric bikes?  So regular bikes aren't affected or am I misreading something here?

I believe all bikes including ebikes would be affected.

I've since read some things on the topic that made me question how much this particular info is sensationalized. If I'm not mistaken.. I don't think there will be 25% across the board price hikes, but there will be lesser price hikes showing up in various places throughout the supply chain.

That said, I'm not entirely sure, which is why I started this thread. Interested to hear other interpretations.
