velobuild m- 075 build
« on: September 24, 2018, 04:29:17 PM »
I have one of these on order and still planning out the build. I'm planning on 29+ for wheels and bagain shop the rest.
How strong are these frames?
Im 220ish and a moderate rider. I plan on jumping it a little, no  higher than 2' or gaps longer the 2'-3' on my local trails. Honestly, very little jumping..this is going to be a trail runner and climber. my local trail is like a 2 mile climb then down rocky steep dh.

Parts list:
Xt 11-46 casette
Xt cranks
Xt long cage derailer
Xtr shifter
Gub pf30 ceramic bb...i like it threads togather
Slx brakes with finned pads
Ice tech 160 rear/180 front
Answer 800mm 1/2" riser bars
Nukeproof grips
Used mulfett 50 wheels
Maxxis chronical 29x3.0 tires

Recycled parts:
Husfelt 50mm stem
Cannondale seat post
99 trek y glide seatpost clamp..ordered the wrong part/this fit
2 ride old wtb seat..thats sat outside for 3yrs on trek y glide ::)

Remaining parts needed:
Just a fork i believe. Keep getting outbid on fox 34 rhythems and a nice 34 unused performance takeoff.
Idk maybe ill wait till black friday for a deal, i kinda blew my budget for this month already ;D

I have everything installed short of tires, fork/headset, cranks[waiting on new chainring ordered 94bcd by accident]
Once i get a fork i can sort out shifter and brake lines.
I think this thing will be kinda heavy when all done...big weight increase withcthw mulfette rear wheel and half the drivetrain. :'( ohwell
