In my opinion its the Same as Marsh guard slapper tape. Buta Lot cheaper. Never had issue on my previous Bike for 2 years. Just make Sure the surface is cleaned Well with Isopropanol or Something Like this. The only thing that i cant answer is how easy or hard is to remove that Tape of the Bike  ;D

I'm thinking something more heavy duty than 3m tape down around the bottom bracket area, I could just use an old tyre or tube but as I'm going fairly high end with this build I was wondering if anything nicer was about.

Hey Bos, not too sure about the p8 angle but the p9 felt fine with me. i'm 6,1 and felt the uphill pedals were fine. I was also considering the rt3 that ican offers but decided to go for coil instead. Now that i have the super deluxe rct, i would recommend it over the rt3. The adjustable LSC is a awesome addition to the shock.  Sorry for the Late response.

Ive had about 6 months on my P9. Im seriously happy. Its not a rocket uphill, but I'm not sure many 6'' bikes are. Ive got a fairly lightweight build, with Maxxis 2.5 inch 29er rubber. That stuff at 1kg a pop will take the zip out of most bikes. However not unhappy at all.

My question is about the tune of the rear shock. I know on my Pervious bike a ICAN P8, that going from a firm to a light tune made a massive difference. the one felt harsh on rocky rooty downhills while the light just sucked it to the ground and bumps dissapeared. It was a FOX DPS though. My new shock is a RS Deluxe RT3 with Medium tune, which is what Ican reccommended, but I'm 72kg's and about 160lbs, and Im wondering if Its the shock, or the tune.

These shocks are aparently not that straightforward to do a light tune on. Unless my tuning shop doesn't know what they're talking about.

Anyone have a medium tuned Rear airshock?
I'm on the air rockshox deluxe, cant really comment on what tunes etc. Have a friend just put a megneg on so i'm hoping to give that a ride soon.

Awesome build!

Mind giving an idea of the total cost?

I am trying to start something similar with the P9 frame but keep the build around $2k USD

New and used items, prices are in Aud.

Frame - 1000aud new
fork -700aud new
rearshock - 400used
wheels - 300 used
tyres - 150 new p.s using the michelin enduros and they are bloody sick!!!
groupset - 400 new
brakes - 350 new
dropper- 150 new
handle bar/stem - 150 new
total = 3600 aud = 2600usd

can easily hit around the 2k mark with more used items or different tier items.

I'm 183cm , 80-82kg with gear and ordered a large frame.

I am 188 CM and 95KG weight, would you recommend to go XL?

I saw the P9 sold somewhere in XL size but definitely not on ICAN's website.

Never seen a XL frame for the p9. Think Large was the biggest size they have and reach is 462. Id say that it would be a tad small for you seeing as medium bikes these days are at 460-470.

Hi,

Any idea on the measurement of the headtube? Does P9 has the IS41/28.6 upper and IS52/40 bottom diameters?

No worries Yeep,

Did your frame comes with cable guides for internal cabling?
