WXY / XDB shipping after July 1st
« on: July 05, 2021, 07:11:39 AM »
I have ordered a Velobuild VB-R-168, which is shipped using XDB shipping on June 28th. On WXY order tracking it is currently in the state "Item accepted" for the last week, which is a lot longer than what I am used to when it comes to XDB.

Apparently there seem to be some issues with regards to XDB shipping since the new rules in EU that apply since July 1st. I have heard that some vendors don't even offer XDB shipping for now.

I'm afraid my frame might be stuck because of that... Anybody who knows more about this subject?

My frame and wheels are on the same status as yours for a week now. Curious if anyone knows more.

According Chris it has nothing to do with changes July 1st. Mine actually changed status this morning, maybe there was a shortage of cargo space on the planes?

My status right now:

I have the same status but looks like they were a little bit faster with my frame. I received an email form the seller telling me I have to declare the
value of the package with a certain sum and tell them when they calling me. I asked what to do if they want a proof and they came back to sent me a invoice in case.

I'm a bit to excited about the custom atm because of the changes. I hope everything goes well.

Obviously, my aircraft was travelling with warp drive. Nevertheless, nothing has happened since. I hope it will continue soon and everything will be ok.

Wow!! Looking fantastic. Awesome paintjob. Really weird though, i'm in NL as well.... Would really expect the frames to be on the same flight.

Oh and by the way, what type of headset and stem + bar are you using? Seems to be FSA ACR? Why use that in stead of the integrated bars supplied by VB?

FSA ACR is correct. We needed a shorter stem compared to what was available. Very happy with the seamless connection, but the stem and spacers were hard to get over the steerer. Maybe it is not perfectly round.
Weird that the frames didn't go with the same plane..
