I tried some Cooma pink pads. Most of them went in the trash. Using galfer wave rotors I burned through a set in a couple of weeks and they were noisy af when wet. I was not impressed at all.

That's interesting. Ordered them too but haven't tried yet.
They had lots of good comments in forums.

Me too and for a year or two. Not sure if they changed something, but they are not as good as they were.
I ride the orange(ceramic) ones from this shop now https://kingstop.aliexpress.com/store/233959

They have a great grip and are silent compared to the Cooma pink that were already kind of silent.
Not sure, I have the impression they wear a little faster, but give a better brake feel. I moved all my bikes to them.

This is is the same that was discussed a few days ago. That weight is frightening.

They even give you a warning -

There might be some differences with the smaller cogs of these cassettes, but on my gravel bike, I haven't seen the end of the 46T Garbaruk chainring or the 52T cog of the Eagle cassette yet, both of which are aluminum, even after years of hard riding. I also rotate between three waxed Eagle chains, which likely helps.

Folks, has anyone had any luck adjusting CF bottle cage OD? I got a pair of light Mana cages some time ago and they are way oversized. Tried putting some grip tape patches on the inside but it wasn't sufficient.
So looking for any informed advice before I melt them w/a heat gun (or maybe I'll start w/a hair dryer first).
Thanks!

I've tried CF and titanium cages and I just go back to plastic cages mainly due to fit issues. This is one area where plastic just does a good job being secure.

Can you recommend your favorite cages from AliExpress? Any good side load plastic cages?

Anyone tried this Kocevlo stem that's a ripoff of the Deda SMR stems?

I've had endless trouble with stems on my velobuild. This one is so cheap it seems worth a shot.

Eyeing that stem myself. I have had good experience with this particular brand though - handlebars, seatpost, headset spacers etc. I think it won't be a bad purchase.

Makes sense, I can see that. my one set of ti ones feels like it's gradually getting loose.
I found a set of thinkrider bottles I have that seem to be oversized enough and don't have the scalloped area midway up so they don't rattle in there as much.

I just use the generic top loading plastic ones that sell for $3 USD for a pair. They're a tad "heavy" at about 30g, but at least they hold different size bottles securely and plastic-on-plastic minimizes bottle scratches. If you want side loading, just do a search and you should find something to your preference.

Though for my gravel bike I use magnetic water bottles from AliEx. The trail grit in my area scratches bottles like crazy with regular holders. The magnetic bottles are okay, but as long as you hear the magnetic click sound engage, they hold securely even on rough off-road trails.

I don't have a recommendation but I do have a suggestion for which one to NOT buy - https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807061604192.html (and many other brands with iterations of it)
This one vibrates even with lighter and smaller unit like Edge 530. If I attach a light its even worse.
