did you ever try the fourier ones? that was such a great design, the leverage arm was just right

I haven't, yet. A while ago I saw someone had those on their Chiner build. I did find a listing : https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255800205665429.html but I don't know if those are original? I already wasted money on fake EE brakes so now I am cautious lol.

Anyone know of good quick links, both 11 speed and 12 speed (if there's any difference, I wouldn't know).

I usually re-use quick links but after a while I figure it's time to change. And I always want to carry spares and with riding a few different bikes and changing what I carry with me each time the spare quick links always seem to disappear.

The price for new ones are crazy. They should be $1 but it's like $15 for 2 if I go to my LBS.

These have been serving well for me. But I only used 11s, not 12s. Came in a nice, tiny box.

I've also used those RiSK ones with no issues - in 12 speed, and 8 speed.

Can confirm, even though their brand name "RISK" sounds sketchy, they work just fine on my 12s chain. Even re-used them a couple of times since waxing my chain has me taking it off and on on a regular basis.

12spd RISK quick link only lasted me 800km before breaking mid-ride. The plates somehow got spread apart so it wouldn't stay shut. I bought a box of 11 speed and a box of 12 speed so just carry them for emergencies now.

Wippermann Connex links are reusable, but cost more.

*officially reusable. All quick links are reusable, just not officially claimed by the manufacturer.

As long as the have the same distinct "click" when I close them as they did the first time, I am happy to give them another spin. If they start to feel more loose or don't fully go into their "closing position", I swap them out.
