Happy Holidays!
Mixing drive trains. Ie: using 10 speed shimano road brifters with a 10 speed MTB rd etc.
Thanks, at that price it seems silly not to try them.
Any good close fitting mudguards (with proper mounts) that will fit a 34mm tyre?
A current 8/9 speed MTB derailleur will work with 10 speed Shimano road brifters (e.g. Altus/Alivio).Exception here is Tiagra 4700 shifters - but if you have those you can use GRX 400 rear derailleurs if you need additional range.
Anyone found anything like the Garbaruk derailleur cages which let you increase you cassette capacity? https://www.garbaruk.com/rear-derailleur-cage-for-sram-11-12-speed.html?category=15
Sweeet! Haha, based on the reviews, those literally come in Garbaruk packaging?
Yep! I have it for my GRX 812 RD. I've never owned the real Garbaruk cage, but it works great. Even better than the stock cage in my opinion. Though I just opted to use regular steel bearing jockey wheels in 12t/16t. No issues with shifting and looks good.
I have one on my sram axs rear derailleur for aesthetics and weight reasons. It works great. What's funny one of the mechanics who I respect said those from AliExpress work even better then the originals
Does anyone know of any brifters that are 10 speed sram compatible?
