Are these parts compatible?
« on: January 12, 2024, 12:08:31 PM »
Hey folks, diving into my first bike build and could use your expertise! Seeking feedback on the compatibility of the components I've chosen for the drivetrain. Worried about the compatibility between the chainring and cranks, as well as ensuring a smooth interaction between the chain, chainring and cassette and read derailer. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Components:

Crank - https://www.magene.com/power-meters/41-pes-p505-base-power-meter.html

Chainring - https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803421114718.html?pdp_npi=4%40dis%21USD%21US%20%2439.99%21US%20%2433.99%21%21%21%21%21%402101f00117050825086796737e0098%2112000026474040532%21sh%21US%212392065365%21&spm=a2g0o.store_pc_allItems_or_groupList.new_all_items_2007447195792.1005003607429470&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa

Cassette and chain - https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255799908876836.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2usa4itemAdapt

Yes, all is good.
BCD110 4 arms crank - compatible with the chainring
RD will take 52T and is compatible with 12 speed

The only thing not guaranteed is chainline depending on your frame
Also just checking but you are aware this is not a real GX eagle AXS despite the title?

It seems that crank and chainring are not compatible.
crank has 110BCD shimano 4 arm
chainring has 110BCD but  sram 4 arm
The spacing between the holes is different.

stone has other shimano compatible chainrings.
I recommend it.

Thank you for your answer merider! If I get a Shimano compatible chainring from stone like this one:

Will that be compatible with the sram cassette and chain that I've picked out? My guess is no but would like to make sure before I pick out new components.

I would really like to keep the power meter because it's very cheap and seems to be accurate enough compared to other power meters on the market.

Thanks again!
