4) What would it have hurt to keep the existing magnetic charger? Presumably you could still unplug the battery cable and use the new-style charge if you found the magnetic one problematic.

5) I can't help but think of all the people who were uneasy about water-ingress and resorted to, essentially, caulking their battery plug to seal it. I never felt the need to do this, but all of that plugging/un-plugging is going to take its toll on the port and might actually lead to MORE water ingres problems (in addition to bent pins, cracked plugs, fatigued wire joints, etc.). This is a HUGE downgrade in quality.

I already bent those fragile pins on one of my ER9 bikes. I had to use tweezers to bent them back in-place. Having to remove the cable to charge the battery is backwards. I was totally fine with the magnetic charging port.

I think there were too many crybabies who didn't use their brain matter to think of actually cleaning the port surfaces.

Software update seems to be related only with the new aerobar switches.
Can we mass attack the support to add controlling features to the left shifter? It's so useless for now.

AliEx offered me an exclusive price on LTwoo eGR at pre US tariff prices so I ended up ordering a second groupset (I already own one). I also just received a Wheeltop GeX groupset to compare the two setups. I have a feeling EGR might get phased out for ETT and I like the idea of having replaceable 14500 batteries. I even ordered a few spare replacement batteries for the GeX. A seller on AliEx sells OEM batteries and they come with replacement screws which is nice. Interestingly enough I've been happy with my V1 ER9 groupsets on my two road bikes. I have no desire to get the V3 ER9/X at this point.

It was about $424 after tax and baked in tariffs. Not as good as my pre-tariff BF $300 price, but the cheapest currently on AliEx is $654 for the EGR groupset. I could have got the price in the mid $300 range if I had shipped it to my out-of-state family member with no sales tax. Though I'm too impatient to wait if I have to travel and pick it up! 

318bike store was the vendor. They also did a fire sale with Magene 3 bolt power meters before being phased out in favor of the Magene P515 PM crankset and PM pedals. My theory (though I could be wrong) is that 318bike store was dumping old inventory to make room for whatever LTwoo plans to release next.

I'll tell you in a day or two when it delivers. My groupset has already cleared domestic customs. There seemed to be low stock for the last few months, but it seems more AliEx vendors have restocked on eGR groupsets. I'll see which charging method my new eGR will come with.

If habe the Version that charge vie the battery cable. Works well, no problem.

I think my problem were the quality of my batteries and not the derailleur in the end 🙃

I just received my 2nd eGR groupset. I can confirm magnetic charging has been removed and barbs come with rubber o-rings now.

Wow. What a bad move. I just wish I could get a hold of a new set of arms for my original eGR.

Seriously LTwoo could have just added a rubber gasket to the magnetic charging port and called it a day. Not sure why they went with unplugging the cable for charging, it really seems like a half-ass solution.

Anyways, I'll probably use an LTwoo battery holder with two battery cable ports and connect the USB charging cable to a second cable routed in the seat post. I'll just cap off the cable when not charging.

Anyone know what's the max chainring I can fit on this group set? Thinking of a 1x system with at least a 50-52t chainring.
