First time post here but hoping folks from Magene/GeoID are reading along.
Overall, the value for money is good for this device. The screen brightness is good, customization of data screens works quite intuitive and the device feels solid. I had no issues pairing with my phone. It also works with my Coospo radar.
The software is somewhat limited though and requires work. For example:
1. It is not possible to customize HR zones. It can calculate HR zones based on max. HR or lactate threshold but doesn’t allow to customize like other parties do.
2. The map doesn’t show all the cycling paths, even when these are shown on any other map that you check.
3. Even when cycling on a 100% flat surface, the device constantly indicates between -0.3 and +0.3 gradient.
4. It fails to calculate an alternative route when going off-track. The device gives a notification it is doing recalculations (when being connected to the app) but fails to create an alternative.
5. It doesn't allow for custom notifications. I was used to an old Wahoo elemnt bolt v1 and even on that device I could set a drink or eat reminder every X minutes. On the GEOID, this isn't possible.
Overall, it it is nice device at this price point, however, it could be much better with a few additions/improvements.
