BOOST gives you the ability to run 27.5 BOOST wheels (2.8 -3.0 tires) or 29er wheels (2.2 - 2.35 tires) 27.5 Boost & 29er wheels are almost the same size, so you could have 2 bikes with 1 frame. Use the 27.5 Boost when looking for traction & fun, use 29er wheels when looking for speed & rollover ability. Of course, it all depends on your idea of "fun"
