Axle for rigid fork?
« on: July 06, 2017, 08:38:00 PM »
I have my 057 with rigid fork and shopping for new axle.  The original China axle lever is bending, so I want to go DT swiss, but not sure which is the correct one.

Anyone have one already and know which is the right one?

I had a similar problem with my rear axle.  The allen screw that holds on the lever mechanism started to bend and raised concern.  I couldn't find a compatible DT Swiss axle, but I did find something similar with the ratcheting feature.  Since I changed to this axle on the rear, I have been very happy and nothing loosens up.  From this link you can buy just front or back, or a set:

For the price, it's definitely worth it.  A DT Swiss axle will run you $50+ USD easily.

Thanks for the link.  I'll probably order one of those.

I have this DT Swiss axle on the rear.

I was thinking this axle would work, it's 4mm shorter than the current axle, but haven't been able to find a nut with the correct thread.
