Hub comparison info

So I've had this spreadsheet for awhile now but I'm just finally getting around to posting it. If I remember my process correctly, all of these numbers are based off of Boost hubs as that seems to be the most current. So if you're looking for something different, your numbers may vary. Also, all of the information is direct from the manufacturer's site so real world weights may vary slightly but you get the idea.

I got some nice DT 240 from Peter at xmcarbonspeed.com
As well as SAPIM CX-ray spokes.
Depending where you live, the transporter you choose, and if you are lucky or not, you may have to add taxes or not.

I have both and prefer the DT’s. The hubs are the same price but the 54t upgrade will cost an extra $100 so there is that part. But you’ll save 85 grams, have slightly more points of engagement, and be quite a bit quieter. They are both great choices. DT for the noise and weight conscious and Hope for the loud bling types.

The 54t is a bit louder than the 18t ratchets, but if you keep the grease fresh, it's definitely less annoying than my Pro4's and not even close to my brothers I9 hubs. I was going to go with I9's on my new wheels but the noise killed it. I just can't take it, but that's user preference.

If you're not in any rush, and don't mind spending more cash, check out the Onyx hubs. They have some new lightweight versions coming this summer. The weight should be in line with the Hope's.

So I'm having Peter build up some wheels with DT 240s w/36t and after looking at pricing a bit more, going with CK hubs (not sure if he has them) wouldn't be too much more.

Does anyone have any insight into differences between the 240s and CKs? I always just wrote them off as snowflake gear. Are the CKs a significantly better product? What engagement do they offer?

I have had both.. CK and "Hugi" .. the Hugi is by far a better hub..
