Got my IP 036 built!
« on: July 09, 2014, 09:05:59 PM »
Got home from vacation yesterday and built it up.  Went for 10 mile ride last night and another one this morning.  I am blown away by how well it handles, how light it is and how pretty the custom green paint with 3k gloss finish is.

Peter was a complete professional to deal with.  The bike went together real fast and easy and no problems whatsoever with anything.

Rides as well as my buddies 8 thousand dollar  Niner rdo Jet for a fraction of the cost.

If I can ever figure out how to post a pic I'll do that along with a build list.  Until then I HIGHLY recommend the IP 036 and Peter at XMIplay.
Thanks for reading,
Andy. :)

Sounds good.  Plenty of ways to post pictures.  You can also create a free Photobucket.com account, upload the pictures there, and then just link to them on this forum.

Nice. But bro, you GOTTA post pics. You can't do that to us, it's just wrong! lol.

When you are making a post, there is a link you can click that says "attachments and other options". When you click it, you will then see a gray button that says choose file. Click that button and then simply choose the pic you want to upload from your files on your computer. Then press save. Or like Carbon Dude said, use an image hosting site. Photobucket is great but Imgur doesn't even require you to make an account. Hope that helps.

I hear you but computers are tough for me.  I'm not good with them.  I don't know how to access files on my computer.  I tried to go to Imgur but it says I do need to set up an account.  Tried to set up an account and it said my IPad device doesn't support what I was trying to do.  I'll keep trying.
Thanks,
Andy. :)

Thanks, actually my buddy is an absolute suspension and brake guru...the guy is unbelievable at that stuff.  he figured out all the needle bearings and shock hardware and tuning, then greased all the pivots and cut down and bled my brakes.    all I did was bolt on the parts, cut down  the fork and adjust the gears.  It really was a very simple build with the internal guides for the hoses and shift housing.

The really cool part is I built the bike for under $1500. :)

CD sorry for the delay in response.  I am out of town riding now but I'll supply you the needle bearing info and measurements when I get home Tuesday.  ordered them from BTI out of New Mexico.  Cool because now instead of your shock mounts spinning on just bushings they are pivoting on bearings.

Thanks Andy, not sure if I would notice the difference but if it is an inexpensive upgrade, I may install a set.
