Confused as to what the actual travel is on this frame. Haidei's Alibaba product page says 160 front/150 rear, but I have seen 140mm and 150mm front travel elsewhere?
Can someone clarify?

Eddy from haideli confirmed 150 rear and front.

Hmm i just realized my fox 36 fork is gloss black and I ordered the frame in matte black. Do you guys think that will clash too much, and maybe I should change my order to glossy, or do you think it will look okay?

Also. Eddy said there was a "metallic" color available. Does anyone know what that looks like?

shiny orange or another color i KNOW would look great. and thank you for your insight, i do hope you're right. I was just thinking because they are both black it might looks like it's just incorrectly matched or something.

These were the color options. 3, 4 ,5 look metallic. I got 3, I think it's going to look nice with a black fox 36 fork

I had an order in for the metallic orange. I'd post a picture of the color on another frame , but I don't know how to post pictures. If you Google search "Tideace bike orange" you can see the color on another frame. Eddie said it was $30 for that metallic color.

I chickened out on it, though, and went with matte orange. That was also $30. I wish I could choose the Pantone, though. I want a really light yellowish orange like the Deviate Highlander or the new Capra Core model. I don't really know what the orange I'll get looks like.

I think you could go with any of the normal colors in glossy, or pay a little more and choose matte. Eddie also said they could do metallic in a few colors and the color shift style in a couple.

For anyone still on the fence, I emailed Eddy to order at the group price and he confirmed that they are no longer honoring the price for new purchases. It makes sense, I am a little late to the whole thing now  :-\
Quote was for USD699 + $120 Shipping + $30 Paypal fee
Still a great price IMO.

Cheers!

IMO if you didnt get in on the buy, it's best to wait to see the quality of the product at the regular price!

As for colours, I'll be pretty disappointed if no one goes for #11. I'll be doing raw carbon as I'll be painting it myself. Here's an instinct I just finished for reference, although I'll probably be doing a different colour combo!

If no11 looked more like that that's exactly the one I would have chosen. That's exactly what I wanted at first but ended with matte black as I didn't feel like.goimg through the hassle of getting it Painted myself and no11 is a lot more blue than that. Looks great btw!

Hey guys,

So I had a question regarding the fox dpx2 shock I acquired for this build. I got it off of ebay as a take-off from a stumpjumper evo, which has a significantly different linkage system than the HT. Should I send this in to fox to have it re-tuned (they quoted $175), or should I just try with it the way that it is and see if it works well enough? Any experience in this regard is greatly appreciated!

I'd give it a whirl first, although if it's been used a bit before being taken off, I'd just get the service done as it'll be way better either way.

If you want, you can compare the Rockshox tunes between stumpy evo and the hightower, as Rockshox uses letter codes between base tunes that'll help differentiate them. You'll have to do some research and see what each bike is. It'll look something like M/M or L/M or so for each shock.
