I tried different stroke lengths on my 1002 and although 62.5 might technically have worked it brought the seat stay bridge too close to the seat tube. 65mm definitely hits.

(You wrote 55mm in your post but 205x60 is the intended size and 205 shocks can go up to 65.)

As for trunnion mounting I’d say it’s really the *much* smarter way to go with this fairly thin full carbon rocker arm. Adapters will flex more and could be a problem over time.

Personally I recommend a DVO Topaz — it’s one of the best shocks out there IMO and you can get it for about $425 direct from DVO with 15% off code REMY15. I’ve been very happy with the one I have on my 1002 and I also run one on my GT Force.

As for the hardware to use for the non-trunnion end of the shock, RWC eyelet bearings are a great idea and help with small bump performance. I’ve been happy with mine so far.

We picked up a trunnion RS deluxe suspect + yesterday and UPS shows the frame is clearing customs so won't be long before we can look at this with real parts!

No, DVO just uses damper bodies interchangeably between some of the sizes. My 185x55 Topaz on another bike also says a different overall length on the damper body.

It’s a 205x60, anything longer than 205 wouldn’t fit because the rocker arm would hit the seat tube.

Update: Frame has arrived and looks amazing.

We have a shock, forks, bars and stem. Other parts are on the way. I'll start a build thread when they arrive.

Great timing, i just noticed my frame is in customs. Still waiting suspensions.

I will soon create a build thread for LCFS947 as well, we will see what we are missing with our choices

And.... it's built! Just chain to buy and pedals to fit. My only tip from the build is: do the internal cable routing while you have the back end off to check bearings. It's much easier to feed rear brake hose and derailleur cable through that way.
