Hey everyone,

Has anyone experienced creaking issues with the Magene PES P505? I couldn't pinpoint the source of the noise on my bike, so I took it to my trusted local cycling shop. After a thorough check, the mechanic concluded that the creaking is coming from the interface between the power meter and the crank (both Magene).

He inspected the mounting interface on the backside, but everything appears to be in order. Given this, I’m wondering—could this be a defect in the unit, or is there something else I should try to fix it?

Any insights or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Make sure everything is tightened to spec (torque) and add in a bit of carbon paste on the contact points, and make sure the screws are lubed and/or add in some thread lock.

I just did first ride with installed Magene PM and I have an issue with creaking when pedaling under load. I'm not sure where it's going from. I have Megene PM compared with 105 chainring.

Just checked the app and saw that a new update to version 0.122 was offered. I haven't checked in a while and are still on 0.116. Not sure what is different. The app only mentions "Improve user experience" - whatever that means. Sadly, I could not find any changelog from Magene.

I'm not touching it today, as I am leaving for a 10d bike trip tomorrow and don't want to experiment with it during that. Anyone did that update already?

I have the updated version and the Magene is reading 5-10w lower than the Assioma Pedals.  They were within a 1-2w previously.  I calibrated the Magene prior to my workout last night but didn't calibrate the pedals.  Possibly that is impacting the results.  I'm planning to ride again today and will compare the fit files later.

Thank you. Mine is within 1-3 W of my Assioma's and KICKR as well, so I'm not touching it now. Will look into it once I return.

Still off.  I'm thinking I'll ay have to adjust the Magene to 102% or 103%,

It might depend on which version you were coming from. If your previous build was an older one, the "weird power changes" might have happened in another update in between that you were just not using.

From next month there will be a new version of the Powermeter crank. It can already be pre-ordered on the Magene website.

did you torque the non-drive side crank arm with both the 10mm & 6mm hex keys to 10-12nm?  It's easy to miss the last 6mm hex torque step.  I believe it's a recent addition after the bolt was redesigned due to it backing out over time for some users.

Which one do you mean? Got a link? Couldn't find any new version on their site.
