Lightcarbon Bottle Cages
« on: April 18, 2024, 06:36:50 AM »
Anyone ever order Light carbon bottle cages? I know it seems like a trivial thing, but I’ve read some Chinese brand cages are too small for many regular bottles. Figure it’s probably an excellent deal if they work well, thought I’d check for any “definite no’s” from the group first!

After losing a 1 litre bottle a couple days ago on a very short stretch of cobbles I ordered a pair of both these cages:

This is the cage I am using now. Have been using them for 2 years on road / gravel and MTB and I am happy with them, but it seems 750ml bottles are the upper limit.

I came to like the "RIDERACE Bicycle Bottle Holder Full Carbon Fiber 3K Super Light For Road Cycling Mountain MTB Bike Water Bottles Cage Matte" - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005840986923.html. The finish is very nice and they are holding my 980ml bottles firmly in place.

Thanks for the suggestions all! I’m ordering a frame from light carbon and am thinking to try their bottle cages, the bc205 specifically (https://www.lightcarbon.com/new-lightcarbon-bottle-cages-bc205_p169.html). Don’t have a price yet, but if it’s attractive, I’ll order and report back here!

Doh! Just realized just because I knew exactly what I was talking about didn’t mean you all did :-P I meant specifically light carbon.com cages not “light” carbon cages … sorry for the confusion!

Maybe we should work on companies to be a little less generic with their naming so our forums work better … because that’s what should be important!
