Like the title says post your diy sprayjob and description how you did it so People can learn about it.

can of primer, 2 cans of colour, can of top coat (one part, the cheap kind). All from local diy store. cost me, idk, 25 eur.
My conclusion: i should have ordered black from the factory and called it a day.

Blue is Dynamic Blue Metallic from GMC

Purple is Digital Violet from Aston Martin

Both are covered in 2K Clear except where the the blue frame is matte black.

The purple looks great did you have also polish it after the 2k vanish?

This was a very long project I did twice after the first one turned out badly. etoe on YouTube was great.

The full steps after lots of experiments.

Sanding
2K primer, 2 coats
Sanding
Colour, 3 coats
2K Clearcoat, 3 coats
Sanding
Polishing

It took many days, so much sanding, the spraying was the easy part, the sanding took ages.

It turned out good, I love the colour but there are some dust specks in the clear and some marks. Ended up spending £300 on painting supplies... but I learned all about spray painting so it was valuable.

That's a nice color! British racing green?

Very close, I wanted British Racing Green but it was very difficult to get a good quality can, I tested a few and they were all pretty bad quality.

Ended up going with Mipa Ral 6005 Moss Green which is the closes match without going for a custom can.

The clear coat really brings the shine, its SprayMax 2K Gloss clear.

The frame is a Winspace SLC 2.0 and stem is S-Works SL. The frame started out life in the Superlight Black colorway, this was the process:
Frame:
- Sand to bare carbon
- Transparent adhesion promoter with a faint silver sparkle
- Candy Black from Specialist Paints
- White fade base is Dolomite from Montana Cans
- Snow White Pearl from Specialist Paints over the Montana Dolomite
- Clear intercoat/Wet sand
- Decals are painted on with Ford Champagne Gold
- 2k clear coat/Wet sand
- More 2k clear coat
- Wet sand until smooth
- Cut and polish with orbital buffer

Fork:
- Sand to bare carbon
- Adhesion promoter
- Montana Shock Black
- Alcohol ink job with Tim Holtz alcohol inks and 99 iso
- 2k clear (lots of it due to the alcohol ink texture)/Wet sand until smooth
- Montana Dolomite white base/Specialist Paints Snow White Pearl
- 2k clear/wet sand/cut and buff


Will post a couple more paint jobs when I get a chance.

Yes, it's a type of transparent primer. The can I used for this frame is from Spray Max. I wanted to be able to see the raw carbon through the candy black, so a transparent primer was needed. I got the idea from the Rokit Props Youtube channel, he has a series detailing some great paintwork on a Winspace T1300.
Tbh you can only really see the candy black/raw carbon effect in perfect lighting, lol. It just looks like black paint from a distance.
